The opening guitar rift to “Knee Deep” blares over the sound system. The fans jump to their feet with a roar as Eric Corrayo struts out with the AWA world title on his shoulder. He stops at the top of the ramp and lifts the championship belt over hjis head, the fans errupt again with cheers and chants. Eric slings the belt back on his shoulder and slowly makes his way to the ring.
Stormy: Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to the NEW AWA WORLD CHAMPION….ERIC CORRAYO!
Tex: Looks like we are starting off this Insomnia with the new World champion.
Duff: I still can’t believe he walked away from that match with the title.
Tex: You may not like everything he has to say, but you can’t deny he has probably earned that title more than anyone who has held it in the AWA’s short career.
Duff: I don’t know about that, but he definitely had a hard time getting the title.
Eric steps through the ropes. The music dies down, but the fans continue to chant “Cor-Ray-Yo” Eric just looks around with a huge smile on his face. Finally the fans die down and listen to their new champion.
Eric Corrayo: This belt is just a little heavier than the Asylum title, I’ll have to get used to it I guess. You know, going into last week there were so many questions being thrown around the back. Who was going to pin, Eric Corrayo. How badly would Eric Corrayo be beaten after a handicap style match like that. What would be next for Eric Corrayo after losing his world title opportunity. Some even went as far as to think after I lost, Goth would again fire me. But you see all of those questions have been muted. Because I went out there and did what I said I would do. I took on two guys who couldn’t beat me one on one. I took on two men who were so sure they each would walk out the World Champion. I took them both on and I came out the winner. And do you all know why I came out the winner? I came out the winner because I am the most dominating superstar in the AWA. Everyone wants to write off what I have to say as just cocky banter. There’s no writing it off anymore, I have proved week in and week out what my place here in the AWA is. My place is at the top, my place is the guy who’s photos are on all the pay-per-view posters. My place is as the face of the AWA and now, not even Goth can do a damn thing about it.
Duff: I really wouldn’t challenge Goth if I was the new AWA World champion
Tex: I’m glad to see this incredible feet hasn’t humbled Eric at all.
Eric Corrayo: Speaking of roles in the AWA. Tonight I have to remind someone of their role here. It seems Spynn is trying to reach beyond his role here in the AWA. I could go on a long rant about how much a loser Spynn is and how I’m going to destroy him tonight, but I think my actions in the ring will speak to all of that. There is one final thing, however; that I do need to address. This is something that has been asked by me a hundred times in the last week. Everyone wants to know, did I know that Goth kissed Foxxy. Everyone wants to know and I understand that. The answer is yes I knew. And for the record let me let all of you understand. Foxxy and Goth have had quite a past and I do not blame Foxxy for getting swept back up in a moment of passion. But Goth, you see you think that you can play mind games and the fact is very very simple here. You tried to play mental warfare, and I left Thanksgiving Massacure with this title on my shoulder. So the question is really to you, what is more important? A stolen kiss or the AWA World title? Goth there have been many battles in our small war and while we’ve each taken our hits, I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say I’m winning the war. You tried to damper my celebration by coming out like I was going to be intimidated and all I have to say is, BRING IT! Bring the war because I have dismantled every one of your little band of buddies. This championship is not leaving my shoulder for a very long time. And by the way, I don’t know if you read the fine print on my contract, but it appears that someone of some type of power. Has put a clause in there, it’s called a no strip clause. No this isn’t like the band on Bill and his pink thong. It means that what happened to me with the Asylum title, can’t happen this time. Someone is going to have to beat me to take this title. And we all know, guys who can beat me in big matches are few and far between. God it’s so nice to have a few friends in high places. So Goth, get used to this picture, because this is going to be one long title reign. I’m thinking about breaking my own record. And let the word go out, Eric Corrayo has put the entire AWA locker room on notice. I’m bringing the AWA to a new level, either step up or get out.
The music begins to play again as Eric drops the microphone. He raises the title high over his head again as the fans return to their chant.
Tex: Bold statements made by our new World Champion.
Duff: He’s setting himself up for a very big fall. And I can’t wait to see that happen.
Tex: What is this about a no strip clause? This is the second time we’ve heard of his friends in high places, but as far as I can tell the entire front office still hates him.
Duff: It doesn’t matter, when Goth is done with him, I can’t even think of the horrors Goth has prepared.
With that the show goes into a small replay from last months PPV, showing the winners and other happenings what happened before the first match hits off
Triple Threat Match
Jason Stevens vs. Devil’s Advocate vs. Simon Stern
The Misfits' retooled "Monster Mash" bombards the house speakers as an eerie green fog envelopes the arena. Flickers of green strobe illuminate a slow-moving figure at the top of the stage making his way toward the squared-circle. Decked out in black boots, leather pants, wrist- and arm-bands as well as a leather collar, SiMON STERn strikes a disturbing image, heightened by the white and gray facepaint and the devil-lock dangling in front of his face. He rolls into the ring under the bottom rope .
Stormy: The following match is a triple threat match with one fall. Introducing first he weighs in at 266 pounds…Simon Stern.
Tex: Simon Stern making his debut here in the AWA and I have no idea what to expect from him.
Duff: All we need to know is he is trained by Tony Jackson, that’s good enough for me.
The lights suddenly go out of the arena. we hear an evil laugh through the speakers as the intro to Disposable teens. after the intro plays a pyro display errupts on the ramp as we see Doug Crashin and Devil's Advocate emerge from the smoke. Crashin and DA then walk towars the ring while Doug struts cockily. when they get to ringside doug stays out while DA goes over the top rope. D.A then raises his arms up then as he slams his arms down pyro shoots from all four turnbuckles and the lights turn back on.
Stormy: And his opponent weighing in at 400 pounds….Devil’s Advocate.
Tex: Devil’s Advocate has been on a rough losing streak. He has still yet to taste victory in the AWA.
Duff: Well he was trained by Doug Crashin, I think that kind of speaks for itself.
Tex: I guess I would have to agree with you there partner.
The opening riff for "Halo" is herd over the PA, as soon as it Rob Flynn starts the opening verse Jason emerges from the back with Carry not far behind, the fans boo him but he ignores them and walks down the ramp, he slides into the ring as Carry takes up a position at ringside and stares at his opponents.
Stormy: And their opponent from Las Vegas, Nevada…Jason Stevens.
Tex: Stevens is looking to keep on a roll.
Duff: I have to admit he has looked pretty good the past couple weeks. Not winning everything but looking good.
The bell rings, Stevens and Advocate both rush Stern. They double team him with rights and lefts. They back Stern into the corner and continue to beat on him with rib shots and a few to the head. The referee steps between them and gets Stevens and Advocate to back up a bit. When the referee moves they both run back in with rights and lefts again. They shoot Stern into the opposite corner. Advocate looks over at Stevens who nods his head. Advocate whips Stevens into the corner, he delivers a huge splash on Stern. Stevens sends Stern out of the corner ad Advocate his him with a huge side walk slam.
Tex: I guess Devil’s Advocate and Jason Stevens are giving Simon Stern an AWA welcome.
Duff: Or they know he’s the guy to beat and they want him out of the equation.
Advocate picks Stern up by his hair. He throws Stern into the ropes and gives him a huge spinning side slam. Advocate goes into the cover from the move. The referee counts 1...2..Stevens stomps on the back of Advocate’s head to break the pin attempt. Stevens stomps on the back of Advocate’s head again. Stevens goes for a third stomp, but Advocate gets to one knee and wraps his hand around Steven’s neck. Advocate gets to his feet, still with the choke grip on Stevens. Stevens quickly gets a hard kick into Advocate’s gut. The grip is released, Stevens starts kicking Advocate in the quadriceps and the back of his right knee. Finally, Advocate drops to one knee, Stevens bounces off the ropes and delivers a huge running knee to the skull of Advocate. He’s busted open now as Stevens goes for a pin 1...2...Stern breaks up the pin.
Tex: Well there goes the double teaming on the new guy.
Duff: It’s the way triple threat matches happen.
Stern drags Stevens to his feet by his hair. Stern gives a few rights and lefts, then he backs up and delivers a huge spinning back fist that sends Stevens flying into the corner. Stern begins to give a few hard shoulder thrusts into Stevens’ ribs. Stern picks Stevens up in a bear hug and slams him spine first back into the corner. Stevens slowly stumbles out of the corner holding his back. Stern goes for a kick, but Stevens catches it. Sterns goes for a huge enziguri, but Stevens ducks it. Stern lands on his feet, but Stevens delivers a huge drop kick to the back of Stern’s head that sends him through the ropes and into Doug Crashin. Steven’s looks over at Advocate, he is bloodied, but slowly getting up. Advocate is up, but bent over holding his bloody face. Stevens runs at him and hit’s a huge jumping complete shot. He plants Advocate in the ring and covers 1..2..3. Stevens rolls off and sits on his knees holding his back in pain as the referee raises his hand in victory.
Stormy: Here is your winner….JASON STEVENS!
Tex: What quick thinking by Jason Stevens, what a hard earned victory.
Duff: And chalk another disappointment up for Devil’s Advocate. It just hasn’t been his month I guess.
Stevens gets out of the ring and celebrates his victory with the fans as he and his sister walk to the back
Winner: Jason Stevens
The scene switches backstage where John Irons can be seen talking on his cell. The camera pans in so we hear the last end of the conversation.
Irons: Yeah babe, I miss you too. Insomnia's going as good as it could be, considering I don't have a match this week, but as soon as the show's over I'll be headed on the first plane home.
Duff: Hey that's John Irons! He's not scheduled tonight, what the hell is HE doing here?
Tex: I dunno, maybe making a suprise visit here in Denver, Colorado.
All of a sudden John looks off to the side and his facial expression turns from glad to sour. His tone changes as he wraps up the call to his wife.
Irons: Call you back babe.
Duff: What's going on now?
Tex: Maybe if you paid attention instead of mentally undressing Stormy Canyon, you'd know!
Duff: Hey! How'd ya kno....I mean...No I wasn't!
As He says this he clicks his phone shut and has a menacing look on his face.
Irons: What do you want?
The camera pans out and we see Metamania standing there, and he doesn't look too happy.
Metamania: Listen, John. You and I need to talk about a few things.
Irons: Such as?
Metamania: Well for starters, how you screwed us out of our titles.
Irons: I SCREWED US? No, no my friend, we lost our titles because of Randall and Starseed, not me.
Metamania: Where were you when I needed to tag in, John?! You weren't there for me, you were off doing something else instead of watching my back! Now I told you a long time ago, that if you crossed me that there would be hell to pay....
Irons: And what's that supposed to mean, small fry? What are you going to do to me? I'm the biggest man in sports entertainment history. Do you honestly think that I'd be scared of a fly like you? You're.....
All of a sudden Metamania hits John with a pair of brass knuckles in the groin, which causes the big man to hunch over. Like lightning, Metamania kicks the giant in the head and makes him fall over. Metamania runs over to a table and grabs a steel folding table, folds it up, and holds it like a batter getting ready to hit a home run. John starts to shake the cobwebs out and looks to find the One and Only, only to find a steel chair being smacked into the side of his head. Metamania hits the big man again, and again, and again until blood begins spewing over John's face. Metamania begins to yell angrily at the fallen giant, however whether or not the big man can hear him unconsiously is another story.
Duff> Holy Shit! John Irons has been taken down! It's about damn time someone took out that old news!
Metamania: IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU THAT WE LOST, AND NOW YOU PAY THE PRICE, JOHN! I TRUSTED YOU TO BE MY FRIEND, MY PARTNER, AND HAVE MY BACK SO WE WOULD REIGN SUPREME IN THE TAG DIVISION, BUT NO! YOU SCREWED UP AND NOW WE'RE NOTHING! THE IRON MANAICS ARE DONE, AND OVER! YOU EVER CROSS ME AGAIN, OR EVEN THINK ABOUT SCREWING ME OVER IN A MATCH, AND I WILL PERSONALLY RETIRE YOU FOR GOOD! YOU HEAR ME OLD MAN? I....WILL.....RETIRE.....YOU!
Metamania walks away as the scene switches back to the ring.
Tex: By God, what has gotten into Metamania? John Irons didn't deserve that! Somebody better get back there and help him!
Duff: He's the resident big and badass Marine, let the man bleed.
With that the camera’s turn back to the arena
Marisol Hawkes vs. Mercy Darkfyre
The arena goes dark and two red lights shine on the center of the stage. “All the same take me away we’re dead to the world!” Pryo goes off and “Dead to the World” by Nightwish blares over the loudspeakers. You see Marisol in all white step out on stage. She does a quick little posed down and starts to walk down the ramp. You hear a mixed reaction from the crowd and she hops upon the ring apron. She gets in the ring and poses for the crowd. She then looks at the ramp and waits for her opponent.
Stormy: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from St. Louis…Marisol Hawkes.
Tex: Marisol Hawkes is a very intense competitor
Duff: And one psycho woman….I’m surprised I haven’t dated her yet.
The lights go out in the arena. "Wherevr I Stand" by Taproot hits the PA and red lights are shining throughout the arena. The red lights fixate on the stage as Mercy stands there, posing with a smirk on her face. She walks down the ramp and hops on the apron, stopping long enough to look out at the crowd. She gets in the ring.
Stormy: And her opponent, from New York City… Mercy Darkfyre!
Tex: This match is a perfect example of change in the AWA.
Duff: Yeah it’s our first cat fight.
Tex: For some reason I don’t think there is going to be a lot of slapping, these two are true wrestlers.
The bell rings and Mercy rushes Marisol. Mercy sweeps Marisol with a double leg take down and mounts her. Mercy begins giving huge rights and lefts to the head of Marisol. The referee pulls Mercy off, but as soon as he lets go Mercy runs around him and jumps back on. The referee tries to pull Mercy off again, but Mercy holds onto Marisol’s hair. Marisol is kicking and yelling in pain as her hair is being ripped from her skull.
Duff: Like I said…cat fight
Tex: What has gotten into Mercy Darkfyre?
Duff: This match is to determine the dominant female in the AWA. Even though I think that’s Sapphira.
The referee finally gets Mercy off and he drags her to an opposite corner. The referee lets go and scolds Mercy. Mercy looks out to the crowd and then kicks the referee in the groin. The referee falls to his knees, he signals for the bell to be rung as he withers in pain on the ground. Mercy runs back towards Marisol, Marisol gets back on her feet and spears Mercy. They both roll around taking turns on top beating each other with rights and lefts. The ring is flooded with referees trying to pull the two women apart. They are still trying to get after one another with referees in between. Finally the referees get the two girls out of the ring.
Duff: No fun, why do the referees always have to get involved right when it gets good.
Tex: An odd start and ending to this match, I guess Marisol is the winner?
Stormy: Ladies and gentlemen the referee has disqualified Mercy Darkfyre, therefore your winner is……MARISOL HAWKES!
Tex: There’s the official word, but I don’t think we’ve seen the last of these women beating on one another.
Duff: If there is a God, then we haven’t.
Both women are being helped to the back by officials, their eyes are are not leaving each other as they are intending to wage war with each other once again
Winner: Marisol Hawkes
Resident Asylum Wrestling Alliance interviewer, Page Harris, is with Bill Barnhart in his dressing room to get his comments just before his Tag Team match where he takes on Starseed and Demetrius Randall, the current Tag Team Champions, in a non-Title match with his partner Erik Black.
PAGE HARRIS: Well, Bill, you didn't get much talk from Starseed and Demetrius Randall this week. Did you expect this or did you expect that, as the newly crowned Tag Team Champions, that they would have said more?
BULLDOG BILL: I expected them to wimp out and not say much Page. I figured as soon as they saw the Card and realized that they were up against two of the greatest wrestlers in this Federation that their throats would tighten up like someone with their hands around their throats and they would be unable to talk. I am sure they are quite relieved this is a non-Title match otherwise they would be ex-Champions this week!
PAGE HARRIS: But if Starseed and Randall are wrestlers why would they get scared to meet you and Erik Black?
BULLDOG BILL: Because Demetrius Randall's won-loss record sucks. Because Starseed is in competition with Jason Stevens to see who can collect the most losses. Even I would be intimidated if I had to face Erik Black and me. Page, right after me and Black defeat Starseed and Demetrius Randall I am going to see Goth and Crazy J and request a Tag Team Title Match the next Card. Randall and Starseed are already showing why they should not be holding the Tag Team Title Belts!
PAGE HARRIS: Thank you for those comments Bill. Good luck in your match tonight.
BULLDOG BILL: Page, I have told you a thousand times, there is no luck involved in my wrestling matches, it is all skill on my part.
The interview is done and we cut back to Tex and Duff who are getting ready to call the next match.
Non Title Match
Eric Corrayo vs. Spynn
The lights flicker black and red as "Wait and Bleed" hits the PA system. The softer lyrics can be heard in clear detail, until a loud "GOODBYE!" is screamed, and out charge Spynn from the back, running full tilt toward the ring. Once he slides under the bottom rope, he hits the turnbuckle, and stands up on it, screaming out at the crowd, and raising his hands slowly, angrily, until they're fully raised. His eyes roll into the back of his head for just a moment, as he then hops from the turnbuckle, and drops to his knees, and through his hair, you can barely see his eyes filled with hatred.
Tex: Here's Spynn...he's got a chance to prove he can hang with the Big Boys this week...he's facing none other than the World Champion himself, Eric Corrayo.
Duff: Spynn's a scrappy fighter. We've seen him use evry advantage he can get in a match. That "Pain and Retribution" on Devil's Advocate last week was sick! Eric might be in for a bigger fight than he expects!
The lights go out as the opening guitar rift begins for "Knee Deep" by CKY. Then all of a sudden red pyro goes off filling the stage. The lights shoot back on and "The Ego Killer" Eric Corrayo is standing at the top of the ramp with his smug smile. The AWA World title is shining around around his waist, reflecting the camera flares. The fans begin to boo, but he doesn't care as he struts to the ring. He walks to the ring jawing back and forth with the fans. He walks up the steps and makes his way into the ring. He jumps onto the top rope and starts yelling at the fans as his music fades out.
Tex: The champ is looking confident tonight.
Corrayo unstraps the World Title and hands it to the ref, who unceremoniously hands it to the time keeper, as this is a non-title contest. Corrayo looks at Spynn with a confident smirk on his face as he cracks his knuckles...Spynn however, has not moved from the corner, still on his knees and seems to be breathing heavily. The camera gets a shot of his face, and his nostrils are flaring with rage, and he starts to visibly shake. The camera pans back to catch Corrayo looking at Soynn strangely, as the bell rings and this one's underway, Spynn however is still on his knees, his eyes locked on Corrayo...his teeth gritted as he scowls. The Ego Killer nudges the ref as he motions towards the Hardcore Revolutionary, seemingly wondering if he's going to take an action. The ref shrugs, stating that if Spynn wants to fight from his knees he damn well can.
Tex: Why isn't Spynn attacking Corrayo?
Duff: He's a damn coward, Tex! He knows he can't beat the champ!
Tex: I think there's something else to this, Duff.
Corrayo slowly inches over to his kneeling opponent, who still hasn't broken the stare. Corrayo suddenly lashes forwards with a hard right, which rocks Spynn's head to the side, he turns and quickly looks back to Corrayo, his eyes widening slightly and his lip, curling. Corrayo then throws another hard right hand, which rocks Spynn harder, unto his own right hand...but Spynn suddenly turns and looks even angrier than before, shaking visibly with what seems to be bottled up rage...Corrayo viciously snap kicks Spynn in the face (getting a resounding OOOOH from the crowd due to the loud slapping sound), and he recoils hard to the side and then snaps up to his knees again, blinking as he looks to the mat and spits blood out to the canvas then looks up to Corrayo and screams loudly, shaking, vibrating almost with such emotional fury, Corrayo goes to snap kick him again, but Spynn ducks down to all 4's and Corrayo's shot misses, Spynn suddenly rushes up to standing then jumps unto Corrayo into a Lou Thez press, and starts to hammer at his head with rapid punches!
Duff: HOLY CRAP! SPYNN'S UNLEASHED!
Tex: HE WAS JUST BUILDING UP THE ANGER AND JUST LET IT LOOSE!
Spynn is roaring as he hammers at Corrayo, who rolls him over and takes the advanatge and starts hammering back! Spynn takes quite a few shots before reversing Corrayo and getting the attack back, the ref moves over as Corrayo regains the advantage, they have rolled clear across the ring from where they started. The official tries to break it up and pulls Corrayo off Spynn and pushes him back hard, Spynn gets up and rushes towards Corrayo, screaming and Corrayo rushes back jumps into the air, and delivers an amazing Shining Wizard knee to Spynn's head, the impact sending both men away from each other like a bomb just went off. Corrayo slowly sits up, as Spynn isn't moving except with the occasional leg twitch...Corrayo moves over and hooks the leg, kick out before the two. Corrayo shakes his head and slowly stands, lifting Spynn by the hair.
Tex: That was the most intense exchange I've ever seen.
Duff: This is gonna get pretty rough before the end of it Tex.
Corrayo locks in and hits a T bone suplex, and then stands, leans back into the ropes and comes back with an elbow drop. Suddenly Corrayo grabs Spynn's arm and locks in a leglace and starts to pull back in an armbar. Spynn screams and his free arm slaps the mat from the pain then tries to relive the pressure on his trapped arm. Corrayo kicks at the shoulder socket and applies more pressure, getting more screams from his opponent. Eric slowly stands, keeping a wrench on Spynn's arm and then does a front flip while holding the arm, hyperextending it further with the sudden jerk. Spynn grabs his arm in pain and rolls over unto his stomach, holding his possibly dislocated shoulder. Corrayo waits like a snake preparing for a strike, as Spynn slowly gets up. Corrayo runs in and grabs Spynn's arm for a jumping arm breaker, connects and then rolls away as Spynn convulses on the mat, holding his surely damaged limb. Corrayo stands and holds his arms out to the crowd, who boo him loudly, but it fails to wipe the smirk off his face.
Tex: The fans think the Ego Killer should commit suicide.
Duff: He's got a well deserved ego, Tex. He's greatness. All that anger and fury won't do nothing against ring savvy and expertise!
Corrayo walks over to Spynn and pushes him down with his foot on his face...showing no respect to his opponent. Corrayo smirks and does it again, but this time, Spynn grabs the foot and pulls himself up with the leg, throwing Corrayo off balance in time for Spynn to grab him by the waist jump in the air and deliver a thundering spinebuster! The crowd exclaims itself and gets to it's feet as Spynn stands immediately and starts to pace around a rocked Corrayo, who's sitting up, then suddenly the Iron Bull rushes in and hits a stiff yakuza kick to the back of Eric's head. Spynn rolls him over and pins, 2 count. Spynn slaps the mat and drags Corrayo over towards the edge of the ring and rolls out, then pulls Corrayo's legs out over the edge, grabs one and jumps up and slams it against the apron. Corrayo yells and sits up grabbing his knee by reflex and then gets a sudden punch in the face by Spynn sending his head back against the mat! Corrayo grabs his face and suddenly gets pulled out by Spynn with a sudden movement, on his feet, and gets rocked by two hard chops. Spynn then grabs Corrayo and irish whips him into the nearby railing, stomach first. Corrayo bends over the railing as Spynn moves over...the ref stops his count and moves outside the ring, only to catch Spynn wrapping the ring mike cord around the champ's throat, and pulling back, as the fans in the front row encourage them on!
Tex: Spynn's turned this one into a brawl worthy of the Asylum division!
Duff: That ref won't be able to contain this!
The ref pulls Spynn off who releases the mike cord and gets pulled back, he turns and shoves at the ref who starts yelling at him and warning him about a DQ...Spynn turns away to go back to Corrayo and Eric out of nowhere, hits Spynn with a cooler full of ice, water and soda cans from the ringside vendor! They are both soaked from head to toe, and Corrayo follows up his attack with a spear! Water flies evrywhere as Spynn's long hair splashes it around. Corrayo tries to catch his breath and grabs Spynn by his hair roots and wraps his fingers in them a few times, the starts to deliver straight shots to his forehead, after 4 or five shots, Corrayo seems to slow down and rears back for a huge finish but he suddenly gets whacked in the face by a soda can that Spynn had in his hands! The side of Eric's head hits the guardrail and he slumps back to the floor...Spynn slowly pulls himself to his feet and stumbles a little and cracks the soda open...he raises it in the air and takes a huge swig, and then spits it out all over Corrayo! Spynn throws up the double deuce in Corrayo's face, and grabs him by his head, pulls him up and rolls him into the ring, following up by sliding in himself.
Tex: Spynn's got control right, now...
Duff: Eric will think of something, that's why he's on top of the AWA!
Spynn picks Corrayo up and hits a sambo suplex, rocking the ring with the impact. He then picks Eric up and hits a snap suplex. Spynn goes for a pin...One.....Two.....Kick out at the half! Spynn slaps the mat in frustration and stands pulling Corrayo up. He Irish whips him into the ropes, Corrayo bounces back and ducks a Clothesline, runs to the other ropes, bounces back and jumps over Spynn, grabbing his head into a flipping neckbreaker. Both men hit the mat, and lay there. The ref begins a slow count,...the men stirring at the 4...Spynn is up slower than Eric, who moves over and lifts him into a standing fireman's carry...Corrayo tosses Spynn over his head going for the Go To Sleep, but Spynn lands on his feet and blocks the knee with his hands and hits a sudden kick to the mid section. Corrayo bends forwards, Spynn grabs his head and the crowd suddenly cheers, but for naught as Corrayo rolls backwards out of the "Pain and Retribution", but then as he tries to get up from his roll, Spynn rushes in and hits him with a Shining Wizard! Spynn goes for the pin.
Crowd: ONE!................TWO!.................THREEOH!
Tex: Corrayo tossed his arm up at the last possible second.
Duff: That was too close...too close! Spynn coulda ended it here!
Spynn slaps the mat in absolute anger three times and looks at Corrayo with a seething hatred...he stands and lifts Corrayo up...Corrayo seems to be on dream street as Spynn kicks Eric's leg out he drops to one knee and Spynn seems to be running for another Shining Wizard, but Corrayo rolls forwards under Spynn's leap. Spynn lands, turns and Corrayo suddenly hits the "Ego Trip"! Both men are down, as the crowd erupted from Corrayo's sudden finishing move. he crawls over and drapes his arm over his opponent...
Crowd: ONE!.......................TWO!......................THREE...OHHHHH!
Corrayo this time despairs at the too close count, and Spynn with too much fight left in him kicked out at what could be described the 2.9 mark. Corrayo stands and rubs his face, his lip seriously split open from the soda can Spynn walloped him with earlier. He looks doww at the blood on his hands and chuckles a few times then walks over to Spynn, seeming very tired. He grabs Spynn's Hair and picks him up, and then locks in the chickenwing sleeper made famous by Ted Dibiase, "The Million Dollar Dream"! Spynn flails about lightly, but he too is incredibly tired...Corrayo holds on, wrenching the hold, as the ref keeps checking for Spynn's status they move about the ring, Spynn trying to Push Eric off him, but the champ is holding on tightly. Spynn suddenly rushes back into the corner, crushing Corrayo into the turnbuckles...but Corrayo keeps it latched on. Spynn desperate flails his arms and then reaches back and grabs Corrayo's head then jumps down to his knees connecting with a jawbreaker that DOES break the hold! Corrayo stumbles back into the corner as Spynn gets up. Corrayo moves forwards to grab Spynn, but Spynn dives and rolls past him, Corrayo turns and Spynn connects out of nowhere with the "Chin Check" superkick!!!
