Actress Georgina Bouzova is more than just a pretty face...

She is actually a qualified barrister, having gained her LLB in English Law and French Law. 'I came from quite an academic background but I was also quite creative,' says Georgina of her skills. 'The school that I went to didn't encourage that creative side. So whilst doing my law degree, I also did plays and then decided that was what I really loved.'

Georgina explains her switch in career direction, 'I'm also quite an emotional person and I realized after a certain point that I wouldn't be able to stand up in court and defend someone that I believed wasn't innocent. I would become too emotionally involved.'

Georgina is multi-talented. She is also bilingual - being able to speak fluent French, Czech and conversational Italian, German and Dutch and her other skills include being trained in salsa, modern jazz and ballet. Her other hobbies include kick boxing, yoga, roller blading, ice-skating, tennis, ski-ing, cycling, pilates, aerobics, tai-chi, swimming and horse riding.

Georgina was born on 1st June 1976 to Czech father Ivan and mother Rita. She also has a younger sister Jessica, whom she considers one of her best friends.

Before joining CASUALTY in 2004, she already had a variety of different TV, film and stage work behind her including Murder in Suburbia, Is Harry on the Boat, Mile High, Crossroads and Doctors. But her role as Staff Nurse Ellen Zitek in CASUALTY has been a particularly challenging role for her.

Ellen comes to Holby from the Ukraine to supposedly escape her father's abuse. She worms her way into Abs' affections and blackmails him into marrying her so she can stay in the country. However it is later discovered she has lied to escape fraud charges back in her home country. Ellen was off-screen for three months having run off leaving Abs to face a loan shark. She returned in July 2005 as an agency nurse. But can she make amends?
