Geneva Convention

The Byron Society with a difference

Chillon, an amazing chateau on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. What strange goings-on occurred there in that summer of 1816, when five friends gathered to share their interest in horror, fantasy and the occult?

George Byron and John Polidori had rented the Villa Diodati, their friends Percy Shelley, Mary Godwin and Claire Clairmont were at a nearby cottage. This was their Haunted Summer, which they spent eating, drinking, discussing, debating and inventing drug-inspired ghost and horror stories.
