Everyone has Up's and Down's

Sometimes life is tough and things go wrong,

But you can’t give up, you have to be strong.

You have to accept what life throws in your face,

You don’t always have to be number one in the race.

Often something happens and it’s too hard to bear,

Sometimes you feel your life is going nowhere,

When everyone burdens you with problems not your own,

Keep your chin up; know that you’re not alone.

Nothing can ever be accomplished without faith,

For if you believe it won’t happen, you’re digging you’re grave.

And if you think that everyone has forgotten your name,

Remember a million other people feel the same.

Sunshine will come after the rain,

Rainbows will help ease the pain.

When you’re sick of it and you’ve had enough,

Think about it, when there’s a big down, there’s always a bigger up.

The journey ahead has many obstacles to pass,

It doesn’t matter if you come last.

But you have to remember; you know it’s true,

Tough times don’t last, but tough people do.

Goodbye

I didn’t want to say goodbye,

I turned so you wouldn’t see me cry,

I don’t want our friendship to die,

When you said you were leaving, I thought it was a lie.

I waved goodbye, though my heart was with pain,

What if I never see you again?

My tears were falling like mid-summer rain

The fact that you left is such a shame.

The way you spoke was like you had no care,

When I had a problem, you were the one who was there,

You said goodbye, it just isn’t fair,

Watching you leave was a nightmare.

I walked away; you didn’t know it was true,

You are the best and I’m going to miss you.

Right now the sky is grey but soon it will be blue,

One day, somehow, you’ll know the truth.

My poem is a scar; it made my tears flow,

I just thought you needed to know.

I didn’t want you to leave; I wish you didn’t go,

I have no more to say, I won’t let my pain show.

i think You're far too busy

Stop working like the end is near,

Stop living life with tainted fear,

Stop to wipe away your tears,

I think you’re far too busy.

Don’t sweat and bleed with all you do,

Don’t hold your breath until you’re blue,

Don’t think something bad is good for you,

I think you’re far too busy.

Try take a break and rest your feet,

Try calm your spirit, take a seat.

Try ease your mind, step out the heat,

I think you’re far too busy.

Watch the sunset, watch the sky,

Watch the tiny insects fly,

Watch the eagles, hear them cry,

I think you’re far too busy.

Time is shortening by the day,

Time is going to blow you away,

Time won’t let you have your say,

I think you’re far too busy.

The steps of That School

On the steps of that school I sat alone,

On the steps of that school I wrote this poem,

I waited and waited until I could go home,

I say on those steps made of cold stone.

On the steps of that school I watched people walk by,

On the steps of that school I watched relationships die,

I listened eagerly to all of the lies,

I sat on those steps where so many have cried.

On the steps of that school I listened to children play,

On the steps of that school I tried to find something to say,

I tried so hard to keep my laugher at bay,

I sat on those steps every day.

On the steps of that school I watched time pass,

On the steps of that school I froze up my arse,

I tried to put people in their intelligence class

Those steps were so cruel but it’s time to go at last.

Those steps of cold stone and tile

Kept me entertained for quite awhile.

So fascinating, they tell a tale of love and sorrow,

I think I’ll sit on those steps again tomorrow.

*This is an extremely cheesy poem*

Beauty

***

She puts on her lipstick, ties up her hair,

Applies her mascara with such care.

She picks out an outfit, a nice pair of heels,

She looks so pretty, so happy she feels.

There’s just one thing missing, it’s not the car,

It’s not the brains, they wont get her far.

What is missing though is a trace of a heart,

She doesn’t care that she looks like a tart.

She looks in the mirror, sings her favourite song,

She paints her nails; they’ve grown so long,

Applies her lip gloss and smiles to herself,

She hasn’t eaten for days but she must look after her health.

Applying some lotion, she moisturises her arms,

Sprays some perfume, it just adds to the charm.

She stands back in front of the mirror, chews her mint gum,

Admires and thanks God for her small bum.

Beauty won’t always her far,

She won’t get a job if she flaunts her bra,

A husband she’ll have but he’ll treat her wrong,

He just likes her body; he won’t keep her for long.

She will grow old and her beauty will fade,

But right now she wants to model, she’s got it all made.

But the beauty she has is the loving she can’t give,

Think about it, beauty won’t help you to live.

Mirror, Mirror

 Mirror, Mirror, on the wall,

Who’s the most repulsive of us all?

“You are the ugliest of them all”

said the mirror on the wall.

Mirror, Mirror, look at me,

Tell me what it is you see

“Ugliness is all I see,”

That’s what the mirror said to me.

Mirror, Mirror, look at my face,

I’m all alone in this place.

The mirror said at a slow pace,

“I couldn’t look upon that face.”

Mirror, Mirror, break me down,

Take away my blessed crown

Return to me my broken frown,

Why do you want to break me down?

Mirror, Mirror, the end is near,

So tell me once and tell me clear,

Repulsive with a heart of gold?

How will I be when I get old?

Mirror, Mirror, answered me,

‘Let me tell you what I see.

Happiness in your beauty,

But you won’t let the truth to be’
