I am
searching records in Newfoundland and Ireland for an Andrew Murphy,
whose father Patrick Murphy left Wexford Ireland in late 1790's to
go to Newfoundland. He had at least four sons, Patrick m. Ellen Evans,
Andrew, John and Philip was a gunner on the Monitorin the war with
the Confederates and lost a leg/ He received a pension from the US
government. He died somewhere in Canada. Perhaps there were more
children. Any information you can find would be greatly appreciated.

blacksmith & lived in grandbury,TX. & played dominoes in the shop.his
parents were James Daniel Kinson & Minnie moor Kinson. James Kinson was also
a blacksmith & built a bus.one of them was full blood Cherokee indian, one
was full blood Choctaw indian.I'm not sure which.Gloria, my mom said one
grandmother & one grandfather was indian.also stated that it was possible an
indian man ,I think his name was john from Oklahoma was her father.she was
born in a cave in Chillicothe,TX. in 1925.everyone in her family has died
that knew any history.they die young.they lived in Dallas,TX.when

he was a pattern marker in the silver industry. in 1895 he married my
grandmother laura anna spellmeier she was from cincinnati, ohio. in1899
or 1900 he and his wife and two daughters hilda and ethel left
cincinnati,ohio and they went to new york. they were in the 1910 new york
census george, laura, hilda,ethel,charles,minor,& laura. shortly affter the
1910 new york censes they moved to bellevue, ky where they had their last
child george in 1911 and around the 1930's they moved to dayton ky a town
right next to bellevue ky. grandfather died april 1963 in dayton ky grandfather was a pattern maker in

No matter what I try hiring researchers, checking church records,
court clerk, vital stats, and the list goes on and on...I can not find a
newspaper for the Wylie and McKinney Texas Collin
County with obituaries for Dec. 12, 1915. Callie Ann Smith is my Gt.
Grandmother, she was born 1874 in Texas.
She married in 1894 in Collin, county she raised 9 childen of her own and
several of her husband from a previous marriage.
She sometimes went by Annie Stibbens the STIBBENS name has always been
recorded as Stevens, Stephens and is

Six children came to Tasmania-only four ever traced. Here are the missing two.
Catherine Murtagh. b. Isle of Man, 23.8.1849. Lived Tasmania till @ 1879. Came to Melbourne and
married Thomas Barnett 14.4.1884. Had 5 children, James Peter, John,Ellen,Thomas and Mary Catherine
Agnes Barnett. Lived in Greta,Victoria, farming, next to her sister, Hannah(Murtagh)Barnett.
Lived at Sunbury last 20 years of her life. Died at Sunbury Hospital 1940 at age 91, of heart disease,
9.11.1940. Buried Benalla cemetery 12.11.1940, grave B125.Thomas Murtagh. No certificates of B.D.or M
as proof. The only evidence is his name as witness on Murtagh marriage certificate and a photograph with his name on the back, taken in Melbourne between 1881 and 1891.
Possibly born I.O.M. between 1845 and1848. Believed went to Canada with Annie and Walter Grant as a very young man.

My greatgrandmother's name was piedad Miquirray. From what I can remember My father showing me how to count to ten in an native language.. My father passed away when I was young so the information I got was second hand from my mother telling me that my greatgrand mother on my father side came from a tribe in california she said she was mohawk but I think it might have been miwok. The name Miquirray sounds more natve then spanish I am hoping you might know the orign of that name.
