Hi this is me cheers
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hello my name is Yvonne and i was born into dogs with my parent owning rough collies and poms in the early 50s.
I was born in 1959 so the dog showing for my parents stopped as shortly after I was born my sisters came along, but there was always a pom about the house the one I recall the most was Tamtam he won dog CC at crufts early 50s he died at the grand old age of 18.
As a youngster I always wanted a gsd,mum said i used to say can i have an 'old station',but I never got one I had a lurcher then a poodle (Shandy) and then a golden retriver (Amber).
When I left home first thing I got was my long awaited Gsd she was a sable called Gemma (Gemmima Rissalma) the foundation of Wulfgaar and a great show dog and obediance 1st prize winner.
Whilst showing my gsds for almost 15 years I was captivated by the afghans and thought I would love one of those noble creatures but with work and the shepherds it wasn't an option untill 1994 when at long last my dream was no more a dream I was to have my first afghan in the shape and form of TOYAH (Istani Good Golly Miss Molly) and as the saying goes.........all good things come to those who wait.
I have judged both breeds along with other breeds at open show level my first appointment was way back in 1986 in GSDs and last was in 2006.
My first appointment in Afghans was in 1996 at Stafford agricultural countyshow my BOB was the very handsome Orasham Fortune Cookie" Geno" owned by Gail and Rodger Link my last appointment was at the same show in 2004 and my BOB winner was Afterglow After the Fire "Storm " owned by Kirsty Dugdale.
There is music on each page to reflect to the nearest how i feel about my dogs.
