What is Main Street Pineville?

Main Street Pineville is a program to find ways to revitalize the downtown area, talking advantage of local, state and federal incentives for communities to grow and develop under their own leadership and following their own goals

Main Street Pineville’s objective is to improve all aspects of the downtown business and historical district, producing both tangible and intangible benefits. Increasing public participation and improving economic management are just as important to Main Street’s success as recruiting new businesses, renovating buildings. In general, Main Street Pineville wants to create the perception that downtown is a “fun” place to be - teeming with activities for all ages.

Main Street strives to create a sense of “place” for younger and new residents and re-instill that “downtown, hometown” feel in older residents. Main Street is committed to creating a positive image of the downtown area by working with property owners to improve the appearance of downtown, initiate innovative retail promotions and sponsor special downtown events.
