Hello, my name is Jeanna Gibson.  I am a mother of two boys ages 8 and 6 years old. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 11 years.  I work in the special education department at our local high school.  During my pare time and in the evenings when the boys are in bed I go and hide in my craft room and bead away!  I started about 5 years ago making jewelry off and on for myself and some family. Then we moved a few times and beading was put aside. Once we bought our house that we are in now and got settled in I discovered beading again.  It is so much fun putting colors, styles, stones and beads together and see what the end result is. It is also a joy to see people talk to me about my work and purchasing the pieces they like then seeing them wear it. The first time I saw someone wear my earrings it was a thrill!  I could not stop looking at her ears when I talked to her. I thought to myself that is my work,she loved it that much to purchase them and now she is wearing them. 

I started with glass beads. Then I worked my way to stones, agates. I enjoy the natural earth tones that they carry in each piece.  I work with mostly silver plated metal to keep price down. I do use sterling silver on some of my more expensive beads like Swarvoski crystal, lampwork beads.  I am also just getting into gold filled jewelry.  All of my jewelry is handcrafted by me.  I stumbled upon Etsy in January of 2008. About 3 weeks later I was selling my jewelry on Etsy. Gecko Jewelry
