Welcome to Gecko Hill! I have been breeding pure breed chihuahua's for over twenty years. I have normally only sold to other breeders and friends, but now have decided to expand my very limited pups to the general public!
A few things in the past few years has gotten me to think about the state of breeding in my home state of Texas. Breeders offering a "rare" color, or "teacup" chihuahua's really started to brother me. As most chihuahua's come in any color other than green and pink, and there really is no such thing as a "teacup" I can't see why normal people looking for a smaller dog has to pay that enormous price! And the uncaring breeder that sells a puppy with an illness or obvious heath problems, only to have it die a week after the family takes it home and falls in love with it makes me ill!
We here at Gecko Hill are not mass producers of puppies, our selective breeding process only yields about 3 whelping a year, with about 9 pups for sale. We do take deposits, and have a waiting list for that special pet! (like, a female thats black, a tan male, a extra small female.) It's worth the wait to know that you will have a fine pet with great parents and a great health record!
All of our puppies are wormed, and have the first of the series of puppy shots. Who wants to take a puppy home that dies after its first visit to the vet?
