History of the list

It started back on May 14th 2001 with the very first GDXFS Challenge (Called "Fan Site of the month Poll") After the first month I made up my mind to do it every month. I changed the name to Green Day Xtreme Fan Site Challenge (GDXFS Challenge) since the poll was being hosted by the old site www.greendayxfs.mainpage.net (GDXFS) After 4 challenges GDXFS merged with GDUK.net so that month the challenge was not held...

After a few months I left GDUK.net, I took the Challenge with me aswell. At the time I had another site called Tre Cool Online (trecool.mainpage.net). It was just a normal fansite, so I changed it to the Tre Cool Online TopSite (Sept 23 2001) I hosted the GDXFS Challenge there.

After one month (Oct 2001) I changed the Name of the topsite to Green Day Official TopSite list Version1.0 It had a Grey and and white color scheme with really no content. So in December 2001 I realeased Version2.0 This version had a little more to offer, however with a black and red design it sucked.

A big best in Feb 2002 I took over GD Rox (www.gdrox.cjb.net) I merged thats site with the list. Now I had 3 subdomain from some old sites that were bring lots of hits.

On May 14th 2002 one year after it all started I (now we) released Version3.0 with many upgrades this version is the one you say today.

On June14th 2002 we got the domain name www.greendaysite.tk The next month (July) the new rules came out for the challenge. Now we would only have two sites face to face on the challenge. Darren came on borad as the logo designer for the GDXFS Challenge. Fallowed by him was Mandy (niceguysfinshlast.net) to do list and forum logo designs. Speaking of forums we also brought in Nicola to be the forum admin to keep it all clean.

Well this is it yes we will be here for years to come
