You are one of the new science officers assigned to the Starship Explorer. Your assigned mission is to participate in a scientific group endeavor to determine if life could exist on one of the other seven planets and the one dwarf planet in our solar system. Your team will review each planet to determine if life could be sustained on the planet under study. To do this, data will be obtained for each planet. Once accomplished it is your duty as a group to determine if life could exist there.
Your mission question: Can life exist on other planets?
Goal: At the conclusion of your research, your team will brief the Starship Explorer Captain detailing all of your findings for each planet. The presentation must include why life can or can’t exist on the other planets. If no life can exist on these planets, it is your duty to find an alternative solar system that could possibly sustain life. If convinced, the Captain has standing orders to travel to planets or other solar systems that could sustain life for investigative purposes. The future survival of the human race depends on you, so be thorough with your research.
