| Chief Upthegrove joined the Forest Twp. Fire Department in 1980 and was promoted to Fire Chief in 1994. Chief Upthegrove joined the GCAFC board in the 2006-2007 board year and has moved up to his current position as President. | - | Chief Bill Harvey has been with Argentine Fire since March 1st, 2004. He is on the Medical Control Board of Genesee County and the Education Committee and also sits on the 911 Advisory Board. He is Certified State Instructor, EMT Specialist and Certified Arson Investigator. He has attained F.O. I, II, & III. He has been active with EMS and the Fire Service for 20 years and comes from St. Clair County. He was a Firefighter, Leieutenant, then Captain with Port Huron Township and Fire Marshal for the City of St. Clair. He was active with the Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster for 9 years and is a member of Woodbadge. |

| Assistant Chief Merriam joined the Swartz Creek Area Fire Department February 8th 1981. Chief Merriam was promoted from Captain to the position of Assistant Chief in 1996, a title he has held since. Chief Merriam is the Training officer and Safety officer for the SCAFD. Chief Merriam is the Chairman of the Standards committee for the GCAFC and has been a board member since the 2006-2007 board year. | - | Chief Cairnduff joined the Fenton City Fire Department in 1996, prior to joining he spent 5 years with the City of Linden Fire Dept. Chief Cairnduff was hired as Chief in 2006. He is certified through the Fire Department Safety Officers Association as a "Fire Suppression-Incident Safety Officer". Chief Cairnduff is a certified Fire Inspector through NFPA, and the State of MI. as well as a licensed Paramedic, and EMS Instructor Coordinator with the State of MI. Current member of the MI fire chiefs association, and the Southeast MI fire chiefs association, he is the GCAFC representative for the County EMS board and was installed in 2008-2009 board year. |
