Hello, my name is Ms. Gayla and I have been the Owner/Director of my Family Home Childcare in the Kennedale I.S.D. since November 1994. I started my business in order to be home with my children Nicki, Josh and Jessica and my step-daughter Kailey, as well as provide a loving home for others. I have recently decided to expand my business and have employed my eldest daughter Nicki DoBucki a graduate of Kennedale High school 2004. We will strive to provide a very safe, comfortable, educational, fun environment with a semi-structured day plan. I am registered with the state of Texas and am currently in the process of becoming Licenced. I am an active member of a local Arlington childcare association, which is where we receive at most of our annual training on informative topics such as but not limited to: Nutrition, Safety, Discipline, Guidance, Child Development, Child Behavior, Age Appropriate Activities, Parent Involvement etc…Parents may view my most recent inspection report (posted in the play room) as well as the Minimum Standards or online @ TDPRS.STATE.TX.US you may also call Licensing @ 817-321-8604. Our Philosophy of Quality care
I/We will strive to provide a loving, safe, comfortable, stimulating, fun environment with an at home atmophere with a semi-structured day plan. Activities will include free playtime, structured playtime, large motor skill activities, small motor skill activities, story time, arts and crafts, music, and dance activities, nature and ecology awareness, nutrition and other educational yet fun activities. I/We will also provide nutritious meals and snacks, and encourage good personal hygiene skills and manners. Television viewing is used during drop off times, Lunch prep and pick up times. The TV isn’t on this whole time but may be allowed at these times.
Through a mixture of guided and undirected creative play, children in our care will have the opportunity to learn about color, shapes, textures, numbers, letters, animals, seasons, feelings, senses, nutrition, personal hygiene, manners, basic science, math concepts, and creative concepts such as ‘pretend’ play, art, music, drama, & dance.
These may sound like lofty goals for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, but children can learn all of these and more through creative play. I/We do not believe in pushing any child to learn at an accelerated rate, and will not make a child feel pressured to achieve any developmental milestones. By providing the right kind of fun safe environment, I/We believe that children will learn at their own appropriate pace.
Open Door Policy
I/We offer an open door policy, which means parents may come visit your childs childcare home to observe your child within our business hours without securing prior approval. Please keep in mind that the doors are locked after everyone has arrived for safety reasons.
