There is a new OLYMPIC LINE train stretching from The CAMBIE STREET BRIDGE to GRANVILLE ISLAND. Marcus and I decided to take a trip on it BEFORE the games start. It is on the old rail line that the cable cars used to use decade ago. The cars are being lent to us by Bombardier and are going to be returned after the games. They are a skinny metro style cablecar then ones that TORONTO has implimented. There was a guy giving a guided tour as we rode. It was really cool.

Hugo a Go-Go's new job!

Hugo a Go-Go just got a brand new job! I am so proud of him. Yesterday was his first day selling flowers on the corner of DAVIE STREET and BUTE STREET, right outside the Gay and Lesbian centre... He was so excited and nervous... He hadn't worked in a while and this job is right up his alley. His first day he sold a lot of flowers. CONGRATS BUDDY!

WELL FINALLY! After years of walking past this place I finally went with Marcus to the OASIS Lounge. Wow... that's all I can say. It was KARAOKE NIGHT... oh yes, the dreaded karaoke... Thank GAWD I was half cut when I got there...Yeah, after staying off the booze to lose weight I went on a real bender. I had such a blast but today I'm paying for it... major hangover. Been sitting on my ass nursing a headache... LOL

ULTRA LOUNGE?

WOW!!! I am in total shock. I JUST WON BLOG OF THE WEEK!!! I almost crapped my drawers. Today I am setting up my new computer and my poor brain is freakin' fried...totally burnt. So winning this award has made my week. YEE-HA!!!

Walking down DENMAN STREET in search of a restaurant we haven't eaten at before... and trying to find one that is passible on the Vancouver Board of Health and one that is reasonably priced... Hmmmm... finally we were strolling by the Dover Arms Pub and there was a sign that read "Steak & Prawn special $13"... WOW... now I was skeptical to try this place hearing thru the grapevine they weren't gay friendly... but for a $13 surf and turf I was willing to chance it. Hugo and I entered this place and the hockey game was literally blaring on 6 large screen TVs. I loved the Old English Pub decore. We sat down and were greeted by a lovely server who promptly took our drink order as well as for our food. We sat and watched the sports fiends glued to the Vancouver Canucks game... Our meal arrived fast with a perfectly grilled steak and a skewer of lovely garlic prawns. YUM... I was literally shocked at the quality of the meal. We scarfed it down, took some pics and we were on our way. A woman acosted us, quite tipsy when we were taking photos outside and asked us if we wanted her to take a pic of the both of us. We said sure! She told us she was a former Miss GAY Vancouver from the late 1980's. LOL So much for the homophobic rumour... It ws a beautiful night to take our time walking back to my place. I can't believe I'm posting 2 blogs in one day... WHY YOU ASK? KILLING TIME!!! I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY FREAKIN' AVON ORDER TO ARRIVE....ARG!

At one point, when I became ill and all seemed lost, it was the only thing that kept me sane and motivated. I also have a popular blog called www.theINFAMOUS.ca. aptly named for me by a fine young writer from XTRA WEST. This site and my blog are about my life here in VANCOUVER, CANADA.
