INTRODUCTION

General & Allied Workers’ Union of Bhutan (GAWUB) was established on …………..with the purpose of promoting professional interests, boost workers efficiency through decent working environment and work for the basic rights of the workers in Bhutan.

GAWUB is composed of the following trades which are involved in the sector of electricity, water and gas.

1.                Electrician

2.                Plumber

3.                Welder

With a view to maintain national, regional and international solidarity and support, GAWUB is proclaimed with the following aims and objectives:

·        To promote the related profession through training and workshop;

·        To maintain cordial working environment with the employer through mutual agreement;

·        To advocate for the rights of the workers;

·        To extend workers solidarity and support to other unions.
