THE GATE of Kinston

Since our opening in May, 2008, there have been so many volunteers who have donated their time to THE GATE. They have come from churches, civic groups, and corporations- many were individuals who simply felt a strong calling to help in any way they could. Others have given charitable gifts, food for snacks, or life skills expertise to help THE GATE meet the needs of the youth in the community. You, too, can help THE GATE by:

• Praying for the Youth and Staff
• Volunteering Your Skills and Talents
• Blessing us with a charitable gift
• Have youth group or business host an OPEN GATE FRIDAY event.

SPONSOR-A-CHILD

You may also Sponsor-A-Child at THE GATE for a dollar a day. Sponsorship provides more than the satisfaction that comes with helping improve the health and well-being of children, it delivers a rare opportunity to witness young lives being lifted over time. Your sponsorship contributions are not given directly to one child; instead they are pooled with those of other sponsors to provide community faith-based programming for children in the area.

For $365.00 the lives of children are changed for the better because of your financial gift. The community based events include programs such as:

• Erasing The Lines
• OPEN GATE FRIDAYS
• Vacation Bible School
• Young Men and Women's Conferences

The children will benefit from programs that will enable them to participate in summer camps, learn socialization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills. Your gift will also assist with their career planning and help in the development of leadership skills and spiritual formation that will last a lifetime.
