This site is dedicayted to the life and works of Paul Gaskin. Born 4th July 1958, Paul has been a singer/songwriter since the age of 13, and picked up his first guitar aged 17. Playing and writing music has been his life. Although his recorded work is sadly quite sparce (only 3 studio albums in 25 years), he never the less lives and breathes music, and plays "live" on a regular basis. There are lots of sites on the web that have information about GASKIN the band, but this site aims to go deeper into Pauls history, and chart the long road on which he embarked back in Nov '73.

The 25th Anniversary Show

On Friday August 11th, GASKIN played at the HANGAR, Scunthorpe for the 25th Anniversary of the release of their debut album back in 1981. The show was a huge success, and was recorded for posterity. The plans are now to record a brand new album, and hopefully tour Europe again next year.

Last year they went to Germany to play at the Headbangers Open Air Festival near Hamburg. This was the second chance to showcase the line up from 2000 with Andy Solomon, Dave Pick, and Tony Ilkiw backing him. The gig was a huge success, and an almost capacity crowd showed to greet the NWOBHM stalwarts. The show was recorded, and may well be released as a "live" CD sometime in the future. However, as Andy and Dave now have other commitments, they will no longer take part in the on going GASKIN project.
