Part 2:

The Moon as a Reference Point

One thing about the Solar Eclipse that puzzles most of us is the fact that when the Moon eclipses the Sun, it is seen to fit the Sun exactly. If the Moon were a few hundred miles distant either way it would make a huge difference to our perception. But again, in ocular terms, the Moon is at the correct distance between us and the Sun so that its radius is seen to match that of the Sun . . . How? . . Why?

Well again, the odds against the Moon being at this exact distance are immense and reveals that none of this is really due to chance or just mere coincidence, but that the deeper meaning behind these celestial spheres, regarding their presence, their positions and activities in our reality are that they also function as metaphors; reflecting back at us the very processes that are being used every moment as regards the creative power of our own consciousness.

As mentioned earlier, every wave and every cycle is divided in two between positive (peak) and negative (dip) as it crosses a neutral ‘null line.’ However the most important part of the cycle is the very brief point where positive crosses over into negative and where negative crosses over into positive. See here:

We know that to keep a pendulum swinging we have to give it a little push and at regular intervals. Now in the wave oscillations of our own consciousness, the point where we become momentarily unconscious in the cycle (although we do not notice this) is the “push” or pulse it needs to keep going. In other words, this is the point in the cycle where our mind “taps” the zero-point energy of the infinite so as to keep the cycles – the “wheels of industry” – turning as it were.

Now looking at our divided circle, we can see why the Moon is in orbit around us.

As we can see, the circle in figure 1, is divided in half to show the two crucial points in each cycle of consciousness as regards the regular pulses of energy that are being delivered from the Source-Centre.

                        1. The Two Points in the Cycle - the alpha-omega (end-beginning point) and the halfway point

As regards the orbit of the Earth as it travels around the Sun, there is no such dividing line.

If we were to continually trace our finger in a circle that had no dividing line, then after a length of time there would be no way of telling where the  begin/end point is, (alpha-omega) and no way of telling where the half-way point is (see Figure 2.)

                                                                     2. The Earth in Orbit around the Sun (No Moon)

However, with the inclusion of the Moon in our orbiting system, we are given a reference as to the beginning and end point in the cycle and therefore also a clue as to the fact that we become unconscious, and also where and when we become briefly unconscious in the cycle.

This ‘dividing line’ in our circle, is provided by the Moon, and this would be the deeper meaning as to ‘why’ the Moon is actually there orbiting the Earth. This dividing line actually shows up during a certain time; a certain interval in the Moon’s bio-rhythmic-like, orbit around the Earth (Figure 3.)

                           3. The moon orbiting the earth, which is orbiting the sun, thereby providing a line of

reference as to the two points in both the monthly and annual cycles

And so by the Moon blocking out the Sun, as in a Total Solar eclipse, we are being given that Alpha-beginning and Omega-end point in the cycle – representing the ‘Eternal Now’.

Alternatively, by the Earth blocking out the Sun, as in a Lunar eclipse, we are again given that dividing line as regards the ‘half-way’ point in the cycle.

Figure 4 below, shows both the Solar and Lunar eclipses. As we can see the presence of the Moon creates that dividing line between the two halves of a cycle, shown here as the Moon’s orbit. During the Solar eclipse the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun and blocks out the light from the Sun at a certain point on the Earth. In the Solar Eclipse diagram, we see the Moon positioned at that point at the top of the circle.

                                                                                        4. The Solar and Lunar Eclipses

And again, alternatively, during the Lunar Eclipse, the Earth is in the central position between the Moon and the Sun and so it casts a shadow on the Moon. And this is seen in the Lunar Eclipse diagram, showing the Moon positioned at the bottom of the circle, delineating the halfway point in the cycle.) Understanding this, we can see why the eclipses are an important clue as to how consciousness works:

The lunar cycle, is like the slowed down cycles of our own consciousness. Which means that the two eclipses in this cycle, (the eclipse of the sun and the eclipse of the moon) mark the crucial points in each cycle where and when we usually become unconscious in the cycle and this brief instant of unconsciousness - so rapid that we do not notice it - ties in with the dynamic 'new moon' and 'full moon' phases in the lunar cycle associated with the procreative process and associated with the Three-Fold Goddess - again the Triad based on the Law of Three. The positive and negative phases of the lunar cycle are the waxing and waning moons.

Again – and in terms of Jung’s ‘archetypes’ of consciousness – maybe this is the deeper reason why the Moon is up there – as if one day we will eventually come to this realisation and also realise that the Moon’s purpose in actually being there is to reflect this eventual realisation thereby crystallising it in our minds.

It would be amusing to say that what we call ‘reality,’ is something akin to a computer-generated, ‘virtual construct’ – which is constructed in such a way that it conceals the Creator. The clues are in the ‘game;’ ‘hiding in plain view’ within the very processes that we use to create it. That Creator is you and me, and everyone – being that Source and Centre within all of us.

It’s as if we have now arrived at that point in our evolution when we will actually discover why the Moon and the planets are there; that the deeper meaning for their presence in our reality is that like everything around us, their existence is also to serve as metaphors, which at the most basic information level, contain clues as to how our consciousness actually works . . . their existence being the result of our own consciousness processes in the first place.”
