Rent – A – Viking
So if you have any need of a Viking for any reason living history demonstrations or school visits
Hi I am Gary Kirk, and have been doing re-enactment with several different groups for the last 10 years. I have therefore decided to make a living out of this by doing school visits and living history demonstrations at sights of historical interest. School visits contribute to the curriculum, enhancing the young peoples learning experience. Hands on history demonstrations are always remembered by children and adults alike as it makes the subject come alive instead of just reading it from a book however good they are.
I am experienced in carrying out such school visits and offer a range of skills and activities, which are detailed below. These activities provide the young people with an opportunity to handle replica artifacts investigate their use and see the history they have studied brought to life. We are also able to supply schools with information about how to run craft activities so that the pupils can make their own replicas, using modern materials.
These are examples of some of the activities I undertake
