The Karma Magnet (previously known as 'The Summoning' has now been completed and is due for release sometime during 2008. Although a provisional date of March has been given by one or two online sources I have been assured by Jonathan Southcott (producer) that no firm release date has been decided upon

Gary plays the part of a celebrity chef called Joel  dubbed ‘the luckiest man in the world’ who prepares to jump off a roof believing that his multitude of good luck has terrible repercussions for the rest of the world. With his wife Sandra (Adele Silva) in labour, Joel has to kill himself to save his unborn child… or does he? 

I was lucky enough to be at the filming of one of Gary's scenes and although my intention was to be an observer I somehow managed to find myself in front of the camera along with Martin's daughter Harley, and a handful of willing volunteers,

Luckily the rain held off long enough to shoot a crowd scene much to the bewilderment of passer-bys who must have wondered what we were all doing standing outside of a not very interesting shop in a back street in the centre of London. .  

As Martin had not directed before, I was interested to see how he got on, and was impressed by how easily he took to the role. I found him to be quietly assertive whilst still being willing to ask advice if he wasn't sure of something. Sadly the light faded before we could do another scene which was a little disappointing,  however it was certainly an evening that I wont forget in a hurry, thanks to everybody involved especially Jonathan Sothcott and of course Gary and Martin Kemp.
