Mainly Norfolk Birding with Gary White

Coming Soon

Loads of great birds (which I glanced at as I was in honeymoon)

Left a super Osprey as wild as they get showing down to 10 metres around our hotel ground, right a pyramid - did you know if we knocked the pyramids down there would be enough bricks to build a wall around France 3 metres high, now theres a thought - hmm.

More will soon follow.

Report

On 15th July after twitching an escaped Pine Grosbeak I was speaking to a fellow Norfolk birder Sue Bryan in the pub gardens (thought I had better buy a drink as he had let all the birders park there for free) about Egypt, she had been and she said it was brilliant - she wasn't wrong.

September 15th 2006, Left our flat in Stalham at 1.30am for the 10.00 flight from Heathrow had to get there extra early due to the bomb scares etc. The flight took a long time and we arrived in Hurgharda at about 3.00pm there time, our tours company had a coach waiting for us at the airport. Anyone that is going make sure you have a £10 sterling note per person as it is some tax thing that they have in place.

On the way to the hotel saw two species only both lifers White-Eyed Gull and Brown-Necked Raven.

To Be Continued.......

(when I find my note pad with the Eygpt Birds in it somewhere in a unpacked box)
