Trips- Visit to Masai Mara

This is another place which is everyone's ambition to visit. This is just a spectacular place full of wildlife in their natural environment. The hotel which you’ll be staying at, is called the Fig Tree Camp which is located on the banks of the Talek River. The Camp is situated on the northern border of the game reserve and it’s central location makes all areas of the park accessible during game drives. The cabins which you’ll be sleeping in are along the Talek River, overlooking the plains of the game reserve. We’ll set off from Kimilili early in the morning. The journey to the Masai Mara will take about 7 to 8 hours. When we get to the hotel, which will be in the middle of the afternoon, you’ll be given the time to settle in the cabin which you have been designated. All of the cabins have en suite and a balcony. During the evening we’ll have meal at one of the two restaurants. Once you’ve had your dinner you’ll be given the chance to walk around the facilities. After you have traveled from Kimilili to Masai, had dinner and walk around the camp, you’ll probably be very tired, and you’ll need your rest for the next day.

Second & Third Day

The second day will start around 8:00 am by having a bush breakfast which will fill you up until late afternoon where you’ll have a very exciting experience. You’ll be taken out in a 4 wheel drive and be driven round the game reserve by one of the guides. You’ll see the buffalo, elephants, lions, zebras… in their natural backdrop. When we arrive back at the hotel you’ll probably be hungry after all the sightseeing, so you’ll have the chance to freshen up and have some dinner at one of the restaurants. The third day, is another exciting hot day, exploring the game reserve. But instead of being driven round in a 4 wheel drive, you’ll be walking around a different part of the game reserve. This will allow you to walk freely enjoying the openness and beauty of the park. After exploring Masai Mara by foot in the morning and having lunch at the hotel, you’ll have the opportunity to horse ride around the perimeters of the park embracing the Masai countryside. After riding by horse back through the park you can relax and enjoy a fantastic dinner at the restaurant. On the fourth day, you’ll have the opportunity to swim in the hotels swimming pool for an hour and then we’ll set off back to Kimilili which will be another 7 to 8 hours drive.
