It is said that when people die, some go to heaven and some go to hell... However in Gantz some of them go into an apartment to sing happy songs altogher with a black sphere that makes their "faxed lives" a living hell...
After having not seen each other for years, Kurono Kei and Masaru Katou, childhood friends, meet at a subway in the oddest circumstances a person can possibly imagine.
As a result of attempting to save a homeless guy out of the subway tracks, they die and "revive" in a new world like their own, but quite different in everything they know.
Guns, sex, horny dogs and hot chicks await them in the "other side"... However these are not the only things awaiting for them, but other strange guys, and the task of killing "aliens". Are they in heaven? Are they in hell? What happened when they supposedly died?
What on earth is that bossy sphere that rules their new every day lives?. Yes... It is sucky, just like their life.
