Here are the cool toys Gantz give to his kids like: Weapons, Suit, vehicle, and others
|
|
|
|
These suits enhance the strength and defense of whoever wears it (if it's your suit, of couse). It's not exactly known how to activate the extra-strength feature but high emotions usually do it (maybe adrenaline?). The suit seems to be filled with a black liquid that probably regulates its abilities. It also seems to protect one's head although it doesn't cover it at all. The suit's abilites can be broken either by breaking the buttons on the suit. The ones around the neck are sufficient enough to do this. The suits also give the players a good probability to survive.

X-Gun - The main weapon of the GANTZ characters. It basically works like this: Pull both triggers and whatever you shoot at will explode a couple of seconds later. But it has more features than just that. Hitting the first trigger will give you an X-Ray of whatever you are aiming at that, I believe, the level of X-Raying (whatever) can be adjusted. For instance, Kurono used to it to penetrate the torso of a dinosaur to be able to aim at its heart.
Not only that, it will "lock-on" to that object and regardless of where you point next, pulling the second trigger will explode the target. The most interesting feature is that you can do a "multi-lock" and lock onto several targets and then detonate them simutaneously. It's not known how many locks are possible, but around six or seven have been done.
X-Rifle - A longer ranged version of the X-Gun. Same basic features except that it is accurate up to 1 kilometer due to its "zoom" feature. By looking through the eyepiece, and who knows what else, the shooter can hit targets from varying distances. The multi-lock seems to still apply.
Y-Gun - One of the more interesting weapons. The first trigger fires a sort-of laser triangle with rockets at each point that will tie the enemy up and hold them to the ground. The second trigger activates a beam that "teleports" the enemy to God knows where. Interestingly enough, the sending gun gives you less points than actually killing the alien.
Katana - A neat, new weapon that Izumi pretty much grabbed from out of nowhere. At first it looks just like a sword handle but when squeezed a blade extends from the hilt. The stronger the grip (I guess), the longer the blade becomes (getting up to around fifty-feet long) and is capable of cutting tons of shit in half with ease. It's also very awesome.

Bike
- The first-ever (BUT THE ONLY?) GANTZ vehicle that was with the gang
the whole time yet they didn't know it. You see, after GANTZ dishes out
the weapons, one of the doors in the apartment unlocks. This door leads
to a room that contains the GANTZ bike. Anyway, the GANTZ bike is some
sort of crazy, giant tire with a backseat. One person sits inside the
giant wheel and mans the motorcycle-like controls and one sits on the
back and shoots at the aliens. |

Cloaking Device
- An item that seems like only one contestant at any given time can
have (I guess giving it to Kurono would make things to easy). Just like
it says, it cloaks you using electricity or something, making you
completely invisible. I guess it works like Predator's cloaking device.
Nishi's device was broken when repeatedly assaulted by Tanaka alien's
SONIC BLAST MOUTH THINGY.
Radar
- A small, computer map that shows were the aliens you must hunt are
and the area in which you can travel before your head explodes. It
doubles as a timer and it seems that you can zoom in on the map. When
zoomed out, enemies are grouped together, constantly misleading the
GANTZ team into thinking that eighty aliens is like two. |
