Elves of The Galadhrim

The Kinship of Lothlorien

Recruitment

Please Read This Before Posting Your Application

Before you post you application you need to be sure you have registered with our forum. This helps in identifying you in the event you are accepted.

Also please post only one application, someone will get back to you wether you have been accepts or not.

The application process can take up to one week. This is so the Elders can view you application and vote.

Also all the applicants and new members need to remember we are not a hardcore RP guild, so if you are not into RP you are under no obligation to be part of it, although it is encouraged that you try, it might help with socializing, getting to know people, and it can be fun no matter what your past experience was with it.

I also can't stress enough of the importance of posting and being active, thats even more vital during your probationary period. Your application is 10% of our descision, it only serves as a quick first impression, its your behaviour on the boards that we look at. Its ok if you're shy and you need more time than provided to be able to socialize and get to know people, but you still need to post, and be active, if we see you making an effort, an attempt then you are what you're looking for. [of course things like spamming, trolling, inactivity will get your application declined.]

We need to see how you express yourself, how you mix with the rest of the Galadhrim, if you can speak you mind, have opinions, all of this. If you post an app, and nothing else, YOU WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. I am sure this makes perfect sense, who wants to be in a guild and not post within their own forums? it makes no sense, and will not fly here in these halls.

Concerning Roleplaying

  1. Think of your character. Try to write a background story for you character, it doesn't need to be a big story. It could just be a summary of your life, or an event that scarred your very existence for eternity.
  2. Be original. There are more 'so-called' relatives of Galadriel, Elrond, Haldir or Legolas than I can and like to recall. Also, make an original background, because 'My family is murdered and I want to avenge them' has become a bit old, hasn't it? Though, if you can give a great twist to this cliché plotline, and it's able to make people awe, than your chances grow. But it's always the best to make up your own story. It's the same in real life, right? I never saw 62232898 people claiming to have the same background, have you?
  3. Be active. Post to topics in a nice and organized way (in other words: no spamming). Also, writing your RP and additional stories increases your chances of success in the kinship.
