Here below are full details of GF's Ranking system, below are what ranks that GF supports, and a short description of each of our two ranking systems: Federarion/Starfleet Command, and Marine.
Rank Title: Fleet Admiral
Rank Abbreviation: FAdm or FltAdm.
Rank Description:
The Fleet Admiral is both the leader of the entire clan and is also the leader of the Supreme Council. The Fleet Admiral has the ability to declare war upon any threatening fleet/clan without consultation to the Supreme Council or to any council member of the sort and also has great abilities with command decisions. If any Counciller feels that the Fleet Admiral has over-stepped on his/her authority with non-council decisions, the counciller may make a vote to veto the order. But however, if the fleet is withen wartime and the clan XO agrees with the Fleet Admiral, the veto is considered useless.

Rank Abbreviation: Adm.
Rank Description:
The Admiral is is the first officer of the Fleet and is also a member of the Supreme Council. The Admiral also has the ability to declare war upon any threatening fleet/clan if the Fleet Admiral is unavaliable to make that decision, but must have another Admiral's agreement before declaring. The Admiral also has some abilities with command decisions, and is expected if the Admiral steps out of his/her powers. The Admiral must follow the Fleet Admiral at all times in any situation, and can also defer action in the Supreme Council.
Rank Title: Vice Admiral
Rank Abbreviation: VAdm.
Rank Description:
The Vice Admiral is traditionally second officer and is also a member of the Supreme Council. The Vice Admiral unlike the Admiral and Fleet Admiral, does not have the ability to declare war upon any threatening fleet/clan. The Vice Admiral has limited command decisions and is expected if the Vice Admiral steps out of his/her powers. The Vice Admiral must follow the Fleet Admiral and the Admiral at all times in any situation, and may defer action in the Supreme Council.
Rank Title: Rear Admiral
Rank Abbreviation: RAdm.
Rank Description:
The Rear Admiral is traditionally a member of the Supreme Council and may request to be in the Supreme Council if not in the Council, the Rear Admiral is also given abilities which are part of the Officer's Duties (such as being a CO of a clan department). The Rear Admiral may also be expected to step out of his/her powers. The Rear Admiral must follow the Fleet Admiral, Admiral, and Vice Admiral(s) at all times in any situation, and may defer action in the Supreme Council.

Rank Description:
The Starfleet Command Admiral is the CO of the Starfleet Command Department, and is also the highest rank in the SFC Department. The SFC Admiral has the ability to be in the Supreme Council if there is a current position available for the Admiral to be stated in, but however the SFC Admiral does not have as much authority or abilities as the XO Admiral of the Fleet. The Starfleet Command Admiral is required to put the "{SFC}" tag at the end of his/her name to state that the Admiral is part of our Starfleet Command. If the SFC Admiral is in the Council, the SFC Admiral must follow the Fleet Admiral, Admiral, and Vice Admiral(s) at all times in any situation, and may also defer action in the Supreme Council.
Rank Title: Starfleet Command Vice Admiral

Rank Description:
The Starfleet Command Vice Admiral traditionally is the XO of Starfleet Command, and is the second most highest rank in the SFC Department. The SFC Vice Admiral has the ability to be in the Supreme Council, if there is a current position available for the SFC Vice Admiral to be stated in.
The Starfleet Command Admiral is required to put the "{SFC}" tag at the end of his/her name to state that the Vice Admiral is part of our Starfleet Command. If the SFC Vice Admiral is in the Council, the SFC Vice Admiral must follow the Fleet Admiral, Admiral, and Vice Admiral(s) at all times in any situation, and may also defer action in the Supreme Council. The SFC Vice Admiral is also expected to follow the SFC Admiral at all times in any situation.

Rank Description:
The Starfleet Command Rear Admiral is the lowest and first rank in the SFC Department and is also for developing the member in Starfleet Command. The Rear Admiral just like the Vice Admiral has the ability to be in the Council if there is a current position available. The Starfleet Command Rear Admiral is required to put the "{SFC}" tag at the end of his/her name to state that the Rear Admiral is part of our Starfleet Command. If the SFC Rear Admiral is in the Council, the Rear Admiral must follow the Fleet Admiral, Admiral, and Vice Admiral(s) at all times in any situation, and may also defer action in the Supreme Council. The SFC Rear Admiral is also expected to follow the SFC Admiral, and Vice Admiral at all times in any situation.

A Fleet Commodore is usually a very skilled leader and can be the leader of a clan Department, and may also be skilled in Diplomacy. The Fleet Commodore may be given great abilities withen his/her Department and can be highly trusted by his/her officers that are below the Fleet Commodore's rank.

Rank Description:
A Commodore just like the Fleet Commodore is also a very skilled member of the fleet and can also be the leader of a clan Department, or be an XO of a clan department along with a member with a rank Fleet Commodore or higher. The Commodore can also have skills in Diplomacy and can be given high abilities in his/her own Department, or excellent command decisions if the Commodore is XO of another Department under the command of a higher-ranked member.

Rank Description:
The Fleet Captain is usually a Squadron CO or XO, and is a very skilled officer in tactics and strategy. The Fleet Captain can have high abilities in a clan department and can also can be expected to improve the Department and can also lead a small group of officers, the Fleet Captain may also be skilled in Intelligence. The Fleet Captain is the best officer for a position of leading a clan department or being a XO or 2nd Officer of a department and can be a very reliable officer with his/her duties.

Rank Description:
The Captain is a very skilled Squadron CO or XO as well highly-skilled in tatics, strategy, and even Diplomacy. The Captain is the first rank that has the ability to command a Starship of his/her choice, the Captain can also have high abilities in a clan department and can be expected to improve the Department. The Captain has the ability to command a small group of officers and the Captain may also be skilled in Intelligence as well. The Captain is the best officer for a position of leading a clan department or being a XO or 2nd Officer of a department and can be a very reliable officer with his/her duties.
Rank: Commander
Rank Abbreviation: Cmd. or Cmdr.
Rank Description:
The Commander just like the Captain is a skilled clan Department CO or XO of a clan department. The Commander can have high high abilities in a clan Departmant and can be expected to improve the Department. The Commander is the first and lowest rank that has the ability to recruit people into GF but however cannot promote or demote a member, only a member of the rank of Captain or higher may do that. The Commander can command a small group of officers that are below his/her rank and may be skilled in Intelligence.
Rank: Lieutenant Commander
Rank Abbreviation: LtCmd. or LtCmdr.
Rank Description:
The Lieutenant Commander is considered a official member of the Fleet and is also considered an Junior Commander of the fleet. The Commander has similar orders and responsibilities as the Commander, but in a smaller way. The Lieutenant Commander may be the XO of a clan Department and is expected to protect the Department at all times. The Lieutenant Commander is a very obedient and reliable officer to the clan department he/she is part of.

Rank Description:
The Lieutenant is considered a higher rank then the Lieutenant Junior Grade rank and has the ability to join a clan department, but however cannot be a CO or XO or a clan Department. The Lieutenant is expected to be a loyal officer to the Fleet and must follor orders from his/her superior officers.

Rank Abbreviation: LtJ.G.
Rank Description:
Still considered a new member of GF, this rank is not yet a full Lieutenant.... this member is also considered a junior member of our Fleet. The Lieutenant J.G. may join a clan department, but however cannot be the department CO or XO. The Lieutenant is also expected to be a loyal member to our Fleet and is expected that the Lieutenant must be surbordinate to his/her superior officers.
Rank: Ensign
Rank Abbreviation: Ens.
Rank Description:
The Ensign is a official, yet a junior member of our Fleet. The Ensign should be focused on improving his/her abilities abilities while ingame. The Ensign may join a clan Department, but however the Ensign cannot be a department CO or XO. The Ensign may also be trained by GF's highly-trained members so that the Ensign may also become a excellent player as well.
Rank: Cadet
Rank Abbreviation: Cdt.
Rank Description:
The Cadet is a new trial member of GF. Every new GF member is required to be a Cadet for approximately 4 to 5 days, then the member is Immediately promoted to the Rank or Ensign or a higher rank if stated otherwise stated by the CO or the Council. Cadets can wear the "[-GF-]" tags, but however cannot wear a rank on their game name until the Cadet reaches the rank of Ensign. Cadets also are not able to join clan Departments, until they reach the rank of Ensign.

Rank: Field Marshall
Rank Abbreviation: FMar. or FDMar.
Rank Description:
The Field Marshall is the CO of the Marine Corps and also leads the entire Force of his/her soldiers. The Field Marshall has the ability to be in the Supreme Council, and also has as much authority as the XO of the Fleet. The Field Marshall just like the councillers has the ability the vote on any matter placed withen the council. Similar to the Fleet Admiral of the clan, a Field Marshall's orders may be vetoed if he/she has over-stepped his/her bounds, however, if the General of the Marines agrees with an order made by the Field Marshall, a veto is rendered useless. The Field Marshall is to modivate his/her soldiers to fight during wartime, and to make sure that his/her soldiers fight and work together as a team, as a unit of one. The Field Marshall must follow the Fleet Admiral at all times in any situation, and can also defer action in the Supreme Council.
Rank: General
Rank Abbreviation: Gen.
Rank Description:
The General is considered XO of the Marine Corps and can also become a member of the Supreme Council. The General has the ability to Temporary command the entire Marine Department if the Field Marshall is unavailable to do so, but must be granted by the Supreme Council first, also the General has almost near command abilities to the Field Marshall. The General just like the Field Marshall may modivate his/her soldiers during wartime, and to make sure his/her soldiers fight and work together as a team, as a unit of one. The General is expected to follow the Fleet Admiral, and the Field Marshall at all times in any situation, and can also defer action in the Supreme Council.
