Gaia Grove Eco-Camp and Learning Center, is located on 92 pristine wooded acres along the upper banks of the Sante Fe river in south western Bradford County, FL.We are just minutes, yet worlds away from interstateI-75 .If a peaceful and affordable nights rest in a paradise is what you are looking for on your next trip through north central Florida , we are here for you. Our new Learning Center will promote;
1) Ecological living, renewable energy, natural building, and sustainable gardening.
2) Communications: both interpersonal & cross cultural
3) Optimal health
4) The Arts We welcome volunteer help with gardening, land beautification and alternative building projects during your stay.
The Camp is open to groups as well as individual campers, at a rate of $10pp per night . Campers must become members of our private organization and agree to hold Gaia Grove Camp and Learning Center harmless from any and all liability during your stay. The cost of membership is a one time fee of $5.00 per person Discounted site rates are available for weekly, monthly, or seasonal. Also ask about our lifetime intentional community program.
As a "green camp" we offer beautiful secluded camp sites . We also have compost toilets and a shower located adjacent to our newly completed 20 car parking lot. Fires are not permitted at individual sites but we do have a group fire circle. We have plans for a group kitchen in the near future which maybe used by anyone camping provided they leave it clean and ready for the next person.
You are welcome to bring drums, guitars, flutes and other instruments to the fire circle. Quiet time begins at 10 PM. Soft music and conversation may extend beyond 10 as long as it does not disturb other campers. You must carry out all that you bring in and leave the site as clean as, or cleaner than, you found it.
No drugs are allowed. Alcohol is permitted in moderation on individual sites, no cans or bottles are allowed in public areas. Tobacco smoking is discouraged, please keep all your cigarette butts and dispose of them properly. Please keep cell phones off or on vibrate. This is a wilderness area so if you have a child with you ,and this is a must for the protection of the child, you must keep them under supervision at all times. It has been our experience that dogs tend to bark at night and disturb other campers so we ask that you please leave your dog at home.
