It seems to be that I am remembering to update this site about once a month. Gabbie keeps me very busy and so does keepin the house somewhat clean. Ryans now on a different work schedule so he sleeps alot and then bugs me the rest of the day. Gabbie has gotten 2 new teeth. Her left top molar came through most of the way on fathers day and today a tooth i've been watching, a right top tooth broke through the skin. One more tooth and she's caught up on all her teeth for her age - one last molar and those are the pits. Lately i've just been feeling so blessed to be her mother - even though shes a handful and VERY independant and wont listen most of the time, I feel like I have a special/important priveledge to teach and love her. She is getting smarter and smarter. Im noticing that it only takes showing her something once (if its easy) for her to get it. She is desperately trying to put her shoes on by herself. she can get it on her foot but not over her heel. And she still refuses to learn the word FLOWER. or any part of it. that and grandma. but those are two of the current things I'm working on with her.

We've got a busy and fun filled summer ahead of us. Today we had a mommy and me and got a book and did a craft. very messy. next weeks should be not so messy if its what i was told. i only took a few pictures at the event cuz Gabbie was bad and teething and they are still on my camera.

Instead of keeping a notebook of her news things I'm using a calender. Sometimes I try to write funny stories down for her still though. Ok heres everything on her June calender... Roars like a lion, said "book", Says "Ba BA" if I say it first, Says "La la la" from elmos world, knows that quack quack = duck and bark = dog, says Boo instead of Moo, loves animals of all kinds, early 13 months found her belly button, and ryans and mines, says "want down" and "want bite", plays with toy cars now, copied me when i said "stop throwing food" and said the whole thing in her own jiberish that was really close to English, said "outside" and "shoes off" , slide down our slide by herself (loves that), helped put clothes in the dryer, says "ow" when we say meow", said "yuck", ate first piece of ice cream cake, first time at a beach, saw a person dressed up as a bear, was afraid of it but kept saying "bear" after we left, napped at grandmas at a 1/2 day visit with her, had pics taken with daddy and just being for 14 months old, took diaper off for us, said "go" and "Pooh " (bear), weighed 24 lbs 8 oz, said "see" grunts like a dog - trying to bark, said "keys" , said " night night", called mom "bad kitty" , said "cheese" while holding her camera. the word cheese isnt new but the action of understanding it belongs to the camera is. said "ear" and pointed to ear, washed herself - and we told her what parts to wash and she did, blew bubbles twice all by herself... and can you believe we still have 10 more days in this month? Sometimes i sit there and wonder what she's learn next. a funny story is we were walking around walmart and ryan was playing with her and i noticed her tooth so i said do it again , i said it a few times and then gabbie got serious and shook her head no at me and i wasnt even talking to her or anything.

said chair when i was telling her words from a book. also said "boy". tries to say all kinds of B words but all she can say is "ba"
went to walmart and let her hold a baby while we shopped. she looked away so i took it andcwhen she looked back she got very upset and was looking for the baby . when she couldn't find it she yelled/cried out at us "my baby" she's been trying to say "mine". we eere looking at a book and she knows that even tho it looked different that both pictures were bears. we were also looking at another book and she went through it picking out all the ducks on each page.

Okay, I know it's been a while. Gabbie can do so much, she is really just amazing. I wanted to shar eher with all of you. She's even changing in her looks somewhat.  We had a great mothers day and pretty much everday with her is great.  I amthinking of taking pictures of our lives tomorrow and doing a in the macovitz's life or just in gabbies life little thing. I think she'd like to look back at it when she's older.

We went to the duck pond and mill creek park a week or so ago. Gabbie liked it but there werent any ducks. :( i got a few cute pictures but she was mostly so antsy i didn't get very many.

I know it's been a while since I wrote on this page. I've been updating the 1 year old page as I go though. So there's much to see there. :)

When people say kids grow up too fast it doesn't even seem real. But theat's where I find myself today. Gabbie now is starting to use a spoon and fork. She wouldn't even eat dinner tonight unless we gave her a fork. (she has her own toddler set). She is still learning how to use them. Getting pretty good at the spoon but definetly sitll learning on all ends. SDhe is also starting to be  a great climber. She climbs onto the diaper bag with ease or onto me or Ryan. Today she tried to climb on the leap frog table grandma got her for christmas. I am worried of when she'll first climb out of her crib. She is also trying to take off her shirt. she got her head out of it the other day, and then helped me with one of the sleeves. She even "talks" on her new toddler telephone. All she says is hi, but its the point that counts. and she says sentenses sometimes. "What is that" is her favorite one. She's also said" You want this" *(when she was teasing Ryan) and she said one other one that made us laugh but I was so tired I couldn't remember.

it is starting to feel like i can't even enjoy the days for they go so fast.

Today Gabbie unplugged the vaccum cleaner on me. Little Stinker! I turned around and there she was holding the cord in her hand. it was actually quite funny and she didnt relly do anything wrong so she didnt get in trouble.

Today is my birthday. Surprisingly Gabbie was very good. Ryan had to work overtime and we spent some time outside sitting/playing in the breeze/driveway. we also gave her one of her birthday presents now: a baby swing. i've been wanting o give it to her even though at the same time i wanted to wait so i could get all her presents in a picture together. but the weather was too nice and mommy and baby both were antsy. she loved swinging. she always does. now we dont have to take her to the park everytime to use a swing. she laughed and giggled. she would hit the front of the swing telling me to go when i would stop. we're currently working on weaning off the bottle. she takes 1 bottle - for bedtime. the rest are milk cuppies. sometimes she fights me, and will say baba. but eventualy she'll drink at least some of it.

Gabbie is growing so fast and soon she'll be 1 and her birthday party will come and go as well. we are very busy preparing for it. Easter was nice but Gabbie is a picky eater.  Other than that I don't know what to say. we keep ourselves busy around here. Gabbies birthday pictures are tomorrow. hopefully they go well. she is my little brainiac child. she can tell you one with her finger. it took me about a week to teach her.

It's been almost a month since I've written. It's not that I don't want to but so much goes on that sometimes it's impossible to do more than just check my email. Gabbie keeps me busy. She is so much fun and is such a joy in my life. I stared at her tonight and I could see a little bit of everyone in her - me, ryan, his mom, and my mom. It made me smile. Had I thought about it any longer than I did I'm sure a tear would of come. I am so proud of my little girl and she's not even a year yet. Help me grow came today. I got a new lady... again. This is the 3rd time now, and she promises me she isn't going anywhere so i won't have to get switched again. She stayed for an hour and chatted and talked about Gabbie. She noticed Gabbie was ahead and gave me ideas to help Gabbie get even smarter. I am so excited and can't wait to start doing them! Gabbie is walking on her own now, but if you've been recieving my pictures you know that. I am so proud of her I can't help but to boast. Sure I am sad she isn't a "baby" anymore, but i think sometimes our problem in life is that we "baby" our children too much and it restricts them from growing. We napped together for the first time since we moved, this week. i loved holding her in my arms and sleeping with her. reminded me of all the times we napped together before. There's just something about watching your child grow up before your eyes... it's breathtaking.. It's like watching God paint a masterpiece. That's the only way I know how to describe it. She gets into so much now though. In nursery 2 weeks ago she got into the toddler toliet. I don't know where I would be without her. Tomorrow we have a busy day out again. What else can I say? She liked the Easter Bunny but when i first sat her down and walked away she cried/whined until I turned around with my camera, then she knew everything was okay. She has 5 teeth now. We think she is getting a 6th one, or at least preparing to. The drool is starting again and we thought we saw a whiteish spot on her gum. She loves her baby dolls now. It's like it's something in her brain telling her she's a girl. Out of all her toys she will go and dig out her baby dolls. Lately now her attention is on a pop up toy we got. She's only learned how to push one of the buttons since you have to do them each a different way. She'll get the hang of it though. Wednesday we find out how much she weighs. She is so picky when she eats. sometimes i can get her to eat oatmeal, but most of the time its cookies, crackers, and noodles. granted i don't let her just eat those things. We also found another friend for her. She's older. I think it's great that Gabbie is getting to be so social! :)  I will write again, and post new pictures when she's 11 months old. It's so close to 11 months now that i don't see the point in posting pictures, they will just be old soon.

It's hard to believe that tomorrow my little girl will be 10 months old. not quite walking yet, the most steps on her own i can get her to take are 3. I have no idea how i will feel when she turns 1. i guess it's just one of those happy yet sad moments. Anyways I thought i'd post some pictures. by the way, happy belated valentines day. hope everyone had fun. ours was just a normal day. Yesterday Gabbie drank formula from a sippy cup instead of taking her morning bottle. she did it again today. woo hoo! The weather was so nice yesterday, in the 60s, that we took her outside and she "ran" along the concrete with her walking toy. today though there's snow and it's freezing! hey, whats up with that! We are having a hard time deciding on a birthday theme and finding a place to order it at. we'll get it figured out soon i hope. well here's some pictures. currently she is cutting a 4th tooth, the other bottom one. it's through the gums but shes been very cranky ever since it came through. its not in enough to show up in pictures yet, although her other bottom one is now! i just got my first picture of it the other day although it's still small.

I need to write in Gabbie's journal but first i thought i'd give a quick update. Gabbie's teeth are really coming in! It's so cute to see but when she bites it hurts and she drags her teeth on your skin. She's been really clingy lately and today i just noticed a 2nd bottom tooth break through the skin. We got her Easter Dress and Hat the other day and finally tried it on her. here's a few pictures. Pretty soon she'll be 10 months old, and she rarely ever stays still. Well that's all i really wanted to say.

   Take Two. I tried to do this a minute ago and I overloaded my computer. Gabbie is growing up so fast, it's really amazing to watch as well as to be a mother. She's changed me in so many ways.  The latest news stands as that she's getting teeth! How wonderful! She started her bottom one first then the top two started to come in. In fact, they are coming in 3x as fast as her bottom one. Above is a recent picture where she was looking at Ryan and it gave me an oppurtunity to photograph her stubs. They are almost all the way in, the top ones at least. Her latest achievement or I guess you could call it a trick, is walking around on all fours. It is quite a sight and she looks halarious, almost like a doggie, elephant, or a monkey. Not to mention she can barely walk that way. Speaking of walking... Grandma came over today and it gave Gabbie enough ambition to walk like a big girl in her new shoes. We were both so proud.

 Also today she pushed her push toy completely on her own. Normally I have to stand her up against it in order for her to grab it and start walking.  Her biggest new thing is self feeding. My mother in law says I have a lot of patience but I don't believe her. Gabbie loves to feed herself and even though it makes a big mess I don't mind. I don't have the patience to fight her with a baby spoon  anyways. Hopefully soon she'll learn how to use the spoon herself. The last bit of news is our new kitten who lately has been disappearing... into Gabbie's crib to lay down with her. I think they are forming a special bond. How sweet and precious. In case you're wondering, no we're not walking yet but oh i can tell she's close and once in a while she'll give me a few precious steps of her own.
