I'm currently re-doing this page. The converted FT790 was causing me some worry with spurious outputs, so I've put it out to pasture and borrowed a Kenwood TM531 from a friend. As soon as it stops snowing/hailing/blowing I'll take it up the hills and see if there's anyone there.
May 2008: The weather has improved and it's time to get out into the sunshine while it lasts.

Here we are at harrop Edge in Mottram, in the foothills of the Pennines. The 20-turn helix for 23cm is beaming out across Manchester and the 4m dipole is clamped on the rear of the boom.
