Many groups claim to represent artists, but rarely are artists themselves asked for their opinion. If academics, industry, the government and the public are to truly understand musicians’ concerns, then musicians themselves must be involved in the debates that affect their livelihoods. This meeting represents a step towards that goal. For once it’s not the academics or industry giving their opinion of what’s best for artists, but the artist. Welcome to our discussions!
