Hi all,
This site is about my 1970 Plymouth Fury III Convertible. I bought the car in July of 2006. My best friend, Jack told me about the car. He saw it at the Chryslers at Carlisle car show. He is friends with the guy, (Bill), that owned it. Jack knew I was looking for an older car so he checked it out. I was in Corpus Christi, TX with my job at the time. Jack gave me Bill's phone number and we talked. Bill emailed me 17 pictures of the car and I decided I wanted it. Jack went to Conneticut that next weekend and picked the car up for me. He also rebuilt the carb and installed a new gastank while I was away.
Jack also has a '70 Fury Convertible. Check out the link on the Navigation Bar at the top of the page.
I am home now. I just got the title back and am awaiting the Insurance card so I can get Antique tags on it.
I plan to do some work on this car, although it really doesn't need much. The top and carpet need replaced as well as the top boot. We found a very small hole, less than a 1/2 inch in diameter in the back seat floor pan. The car has less than 55,000 original miles. It has a 318. Someone put an aluminum intake and a 4BBL on it. There where only 1,952 Fury III Convertibles built in 1970. It has two-tone Black and Gray interior, lighting package and the rare relayed headlight shut-off. ( If you turn off the headlights after you shut off the engine, the lights stay on for about 90 seconds, then shut off ). Pretty cool for 1970! The car is, as you can tell by the above desciption, by no means perfect, but it is a nice example of a good "driver".
More info to come later.
