Exploring 4-H

Old enough to be passioniate about horses, but still too young for regular 4-H? Exploring 4-H is perfect for you! Grades 1 - 2 are eligible. Enrollment required before June 01, 2009. You don't have to own your own horse or pony to participate. We have many great horses and ponies already enrolled in 4-H that may be used.
Exporing members will meet during the regular Horse & Pony Club meetings (see 4-H schedule for dates). To complete your project, you will have to make a poster. Not only will we work on your poster, you will also learn about horses, tack, proper attire for showing and more.

Exploring members will have their own show day during the Fulton County 4-H Fair. Members will get to strut their stuff in the show arena. A halter class, along with a couple of riding classes, will be offered. Other fun activities will be included that day. For participating and doing such a great job, each member will receive ribbons. Everyone goes away a winner!
If Exploring 4-H is something you might be interested in, please contact Randy Miller at 574-893-1314. Again, you don't need to own a horse or pony. We can match you up with a horse or pony already enrolled.

* Members will need an SEI approved riding helmet when mounted and boots....no exceptions. *
