The Farms

Remembrance Farm (directions)

Nathaniel Thompson farms in Trumansburg. He specializes in salad greens, onions, and root crops. His farm is located on land owned by John Wertis, who raises goats (very cute kids in the spring!).  Beyond the CSA, you can find his vegetables at GreenStar and served at many restaurants in the Ithaca area.  You can learn more at Remembrance Farm's website, www.remembrancefarm.org. Remembrance Farm is certified organic and certified biodynamic.

Stick and Stone Farm (directions)

Chaw Chang, Lucy Garrison-Clauson and two-year-old Greta farm just 4.5 miles from downtown Ithaca towards Jacksonville. They grow a wide range of vegetables, including lettuce, cooking greens, summer and winter squash, heirloom tomatoes, beets and spinach. Their produce can also be found at the Ithaca Farmers’ Market, Greenstar, Wegmans, at local restaurants and on the Seneca & Cayuga Wine Trail. Lucy and Chaw grow a beautiful U-Pick garden that is always open to CSA members. It includes perennial herbs, flowers, cherry tomatoes, peas and green beans. Stick and Stone Farm is certified organic.  Lucy, Chaw, and Greta host the Wednesday farm pick-up.

Three Swallows Farm (directions)

Harry Brown, Nora Schmitt, and Joanna Brown farm together in Danby.  They focus on hot weather crops such as eggplant, hot peppers, tomatoes, and melons.  CSA members are welcome any time to peruse their great selection of U-Pick crops, and pastured meats are also available for sale.  Three Swallows Farm is certified organic and certified biodynamic.  The Saturday farm pick-up is hosted in Three Swallow's barn on Nelson Road.
