If you receive a delivery share, or if you are a winter share member, we will pack a half bushel box for you which will have 8 or so different vegetables in it. If you pick your share up from the farm during the growing season, you can pick and choose what you want for the week, with your total share volume being 1 paper grocery bag full (as a visual). U-Pick is in addition to your regular share. If you pick up your share from the farm during the growing season, please check the chalkboard first to see what is limited!
No, we don't sell half shares, and we strongly discourage share-splitting. Our share is meant to supply either one household OR a maximum of two adults in separate households with plenty of produce for one week's meals. One of the beauties of our particular CSA share is that within this framework, members are encouraged to take whatever they need for that week ("take what you want, but eat what you take that week!"). The share may appear to be very large if you watch what a big household takes, but the actual size of the share is flexible according to what people need. So, don't feel pressure to take more food than you need, and don't elevate that pressure by sharing it with another household (unless the two households together consist of only two adults). We won't be able to continue to offer the "take what you'd like" feature of CSA pick-up if non-authorized share-splitting occurs.
Monthly payments are as follows:

Your agreement with us is for the entire season. However, life happens, and we are fully aware of that!
Please call or email Katie sooner than later - we can work something out for sure. DO NOT just stop coming and expect that we will stop counting on you to pay for your share. If we can't work anything else out, we can offer your share to someone on the wait list. Most likely we can make arrangemnts for you to keep getting it.
Anytime! Really, anytime of the week, and anytime of the day. The first time you come to U-Pick, please come during a regular pick-up time (2-7pm Wednesdays at Stick and Stone, or 10-3 Saturdays at Three Swallows) so that Katie can lead you through an orientation. After that, you can help yourself! U-Pick is included in your share - there is no additional cost.

Your share is packed in a 1/2 bushel waxed box. These boxes cost over a dollar a piece and are good for 4-5 uses if they are handled properly. Squeeze the top flap back until the tabs release from the side slits. DO NOT PULL STRAIGHT UP ON THE BOX - have some patience, the food will wait for you! If you are doing it right, it won't tear. Please flatten the box (doing the same thing to the bottom of the box) and leave it the following Thursday where Garden Gate delivery left your full box the week before. We will reuse them for as long as we can. They are not recyclable at the curb b/c of the wax!
