The Full Plate Farm Collective

Get your share of the harvest!

Community

A healthy food system is supported by a healthy community, and vice versa!  There are so many meaningful and enriching ways that we can participate in our local food systems.  Volunteers are always welcome to work on the Full Plate farms, help plan events, share recipes, and share their brilliant new ideas for the Collective.

Healthy Food for All Program

The Healthy Food for All Program is a collaboration among several area CSAs and Cornell Cooperative Extension which provides subsidized shares to low-income families.

Events

Come one, come all!  Our events are open to the community and benefit the Healthy Food for All program, which subsidizes CSA shares for low-income families in the Ithaca area.  Check out the calendar.

U-Pick Crops

Stick and Stone Farm and Three Swallows Farm each host a variety of U-Pick crops during the growing season. Check in here to see what's available this week and where.

Side Dishes

The Full Plate Farm Collective is happy to collaborate with other local food producers to offer members access to local fruit, bread, and pastured meat.

Join the Finger Lakes Fruit Bowl!

Interested in receiving a weekly share of fresh, local fruit in addition to your vegetable share? For the 2008-09 winter season, and the 2009 regular season, the Finger Lakes Fruit Bowl is offering both pick-up and delivery options.  Learn more...

The Little Banneton

The Little Banneton offers a bread share to Full Plate members, both in conjunction with the growing season share and the winter share.  Michelle Bamberger, baker, has been making naturally-leavened sourdough breads with all organic and vegan ingredients for nearly 20 years.  Yummy!  Check out The Little Banneton's website for more information and to sign up for the bread share.

The Piggery

The Piggery, a pastured pork farm in Trumansburg, provides a fresh local meat share as another "side dish" for Full Plate members. You have probably seen them at the Ithaca Farmers' Market among other places: their sausage is yummy!  Visit their website for more information about signing up for their meat CSA, which will include bacon, sausage, deli meats, pate, etc.
