Fruitful Trees Ministries (FTM) is based in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies and is duly incorporated under the Companies Act of Jamaica as a non-profit outreach organisation. Like our national motto, "Out of many one people", this ministry comprises people from a multiplicity of church denominations, geographic locations, age groups, income levels, and social orientation. We currently have members in Jamaica, Barbados, Cayman and New York and affiliates in Jamaica and Canada.

We don't focus on our differences, we rather find the common ground to integrate our strengths, passions and interests to achieve exponential positive effect in people's lives. When lives are changed, homes are transformed, societies are developed and nations are strengthened.

We aim to meet the physical, moral and spiritual needs of particularly the youths so as to play our part in improving the socio-moral fabric of our society, locally and internationally.  Our Vision statement is "Changing the world by changing lives" and we aim at accomplishing this by engaging in the following Missions:    

• Mobilising and redirecting funds to finance outreach efforts e.g. feeding & clothing programmes, accommodation improvement, academic sponsorship, e.t.c.

• Build sound character, particularly in our youth, through sports and the visual & performing arts i.e. use sports and the arts to cultivate discipline and impart sound morale.

• Empower the minds of particularly our youth i.e. the use of conferences, workshops, panel discussions, e.t.c. to address critical issues that are relevant to wholesome daily life. 

• Engage in partnerships to improve our society i.e. collaborate with particular individuals, institutions and organisations in nation-building efforts e.g. reducing poverty and unemployment.        

There are six (6) ministries under the umbrella of FTM: 

• Worship - This ministry is called "Arts of the King" and it  involves the visual and performing arts e.g. Music, Poetry, Dance, Theatre, Sign Language etc. and production engineering e.g. Sound, Light, Videography, Photography, Audio-Visuals, etc. 

   

  • Sports - This ministry is called "Enagize!" and it involves events that are sports-oriented. Activities include Football, Netball, Teamwork games, Board games, etc 

   

  • Welfare - This ministry is called "C.A.R.E.". This is the acronym for "Compassion And Response Engaged". This involves donation of cash and/or kind to the less fortunate, academic sponsorship for students, feeding programmes, etc

   

  • Support - This ministry is called "Nurture" and involves counselling, prayer, intercession and follow-up programmes. The purpose is to provide a support framework for people who need moral and/or spiritual support.

   

  • Conference - This ministry is called "Joshua & Ruth Generation" and involves edifying the youths about various issues that they encounter daily e.g. sexuality, relationship, health, finance, education, leadership, discipline and those other issues that are rarely discussed in "church".

   

  • Family Life - This ministry is called "Genes" because of its nature. This involves the social aspect of FTM which includes  picnics, beach trips, hikes, poolside jam sessions, dining out, amusement parks, etc.

FTM was born out of a passion to change the adverse circumstances of those persons suffering from lack of basic provisions to which every human being should be entitled (eg. food, clothing, shelter, education, employment, love and salvation).

The ministry is founded upon the scripture taken form the book of Psalm chapter 1 verse 3 in the Holy Bible:

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth fruit in his season; His leaves also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”.

The concept in summary is that the ministry is a fruitful tree that bears fruits of change. There are a superfluity of unfavourable situations that are peoples' realities and so we believe that we are called to help people maximise their strengths towards converting their potential into progress. We believe we were all created for greatness so why not attain it and help a bunch of other people do the same?
