This was the first open day at Bushy. A good day though quiet, some nice people around and a few members of the public.

The PX store went well, with a few bits of tat getting shifted and a few deals where had.

Discussions where under way to our occupation of the building around the woods, and the ongoing work to the museum.

This promises to be a good chilled out monthly venue.

Started for me and Phil with sleeping over at Bushy (didn't get to sleep till 2400hrs on the 7th) awake at 0300hrs we set off from Luton around 0730hrs, arriving at Nice to be met with Bruno and David around 1100hrs once we had disembarked and cleared local customs.

An hours drive to our bivouack on an actual Force position between Mnt Rozo and Mnt Ours...C rations for breakfast, meeting up with the many French and Italian forcemen (around 22 FSSF re-enactors altogether, as well as with our civilian guide Fred)...Full kit mountain march in the dense fog...More rations washed down with vin/vino/wine - rouge/rosso/red....Rough jeep trailer ride up to starting point of the nitetime march and climb...Rough jeep ride (not in trailer this time) back to position/bivouack...Camping out in the cold damp ground wrapped in poncho and sleeping bag in cold damp muddy clothes - too tired to care, had been awake/travelling/marching etc for just under 23 hours...Next day brief rememberance ceremony followed by packing kit, chilling, eating and P&P for final part of visit...Which was visits to Force positions, namely St Agnes, Castellar and Menton....Then home...
