Origins:

The Fikou Stocking Spider Army has a long and twisted origin.  Many beings may consider the following idea to be ludicrous and out right insane, but all that matters is that you, our trusted allies in the real world believe it:

Originally, there was a swarm of regular Fikou spiders that swarmed around Metru Nui.  What set them apart from regular Fikou was their obvious obsession with the shiny, brightly colored playthings of young Matoran.  They were just to much of a hassle, the Matoran could never catch them all and keep them in the archives, as they had a specific gene that resisted the cryo sleep Onu-Matoran archivists tried to put them in.  In the end, they always ended up escaping, and harrassing Matoran once again.  The Order of Mata Nui finally stepped in, and their agent Botar went to Metru Nui in secret, teleporting each and every one of the spiders to the pit.  The Fikou, now a tight nit tribe, were smart enough to avoid the Barraki and other hideous creatures dwelling in the prison.  One fellow prisoner though extended his hand charitably.  This future FSSA viceroy's name was Nocturn.  He protected the spiders with a vengeance, and became very attached to the appointed leader of the spiders, "The Queen".  After the great cataclysm, the pit was flooded with mutagenic water.  The Fikou Stocking Spider population mutated into a hideous Matatu shelled, tripod race.  Nocturn, immune to the mutagen, and already sporting the ability to breathe water as well as air, set to work helping the FSS tribe escape to the surface world.  Even here, there bad reputation had spread.  Nocturn quickly organized an underground network of fellow spider Rahi and other beings who took sympathy with The Queen and her misfit clan.  The Fikou Stocking Spiders could once again traverse the world safely. 

One day though, the peace had to come to an end.  The Devastator Union was a mechanized conglomeration of Devastator bots, Iron Drones, Control Units and Droids, all lead by their ruler Mecha One.  Believing the FSSes to be a mutated pest and waste of organic resources, the Devastator Union set to work with their organized military and industrial power.  Dead set on driving the FSS population (which had now expanded from a few dozen to several thousand) back to the pit from whence they came, the Union attacked on all fronts.  What happened next has been lost to the test of time, but most assume The Queen, with the advice of Nocturn in tow, decided to militarize the Fikou Stocking Spiders and their allies into a new faction to fight back against the Devastator Union.  They would no longer be discriminated against, the FSS's with their mutated powers, and aid from allies all over the world would make a considerable force to fight with.  This new group titled itself the Fikou Stocking Spider Army, and answered the call to fight, declaring war upon the Devastator Union, it became a war of organics against mechanics. 

We're now several years into the war against the machines, and we hope it ends soon..  But we have no choice at this point, we're to deeply entrenched in our efforts to eliminate the Union once and for all.  Each day we're victorious once more somewhere in the world, and each day our forces grow.  We will not stop until every last member of the Union has either joined ranks with us, surrendered, or been knocked offline permanently.  Its no longer a war about race, but a war about our own freedom!
