in order to hex u must have 3 things:

1) hex chart

2) something to write with,
   such as notepad program or pencil and paper

3) a gs,cb, or anything that accepts hex.

in order to hex u must have the addresses.
the addresses are where the text is going.
if u were going to hex your name then u would need
the addresses for your name. if u were gonna hex ur online
room name then u would need those addresses.
say we're hexing ur name for THUG 2:

the left part of that code is the addresses,
u wont do anything to that part of the code.

the right-hand part of the code is where u will hex ur name

when ur hexing, u go backwards.

it wuld look like that becaz u write everything backwards.
BUT, the gs/cb does'nt read letters like me and u,
so we have to enter hex instead of the letter.

we fill all the extra at the end with 0.

things u will need for hacking codes are:

1) ps2dis.exe
2) the slus of the game u want to hack
3) a gs or cb to enter and test the codes

u can download the ps2dis.exe here.
and u can get the slus from the game by 
usung a dvd-drive

once we have those we open the slus in the 
ps2dis
then goto Analyzer then invoke analyzer.
now wait for it to load.
when it is done loading hit control+g to
bring up a list of labels.

example for thug2 slus:
ive seen a few ppl with this code be4 but 
im not sure who the original hacker is.

we scroll down and see a label called "ClearPanel_Bailed"
double click on that and it brings us to the code 00424670 61656c43.
codes in this area dont normally work so we're jus gonna go ahead and
press space bar on it then hit f3 to jump to next referer.
now it brings us to the code 003fba20 00424670
1st thing we do is change the 1st 2 digits to 20 so we have

the left side is the address and the right side is the data.
now we need to nop the address and that code the game is canceled out

- put on inf sat and in val codes (look under the codes section on this site)

- put the color on red (has to be exactly on red)

- tap the sat bar to the right direction till it reaches the max it will go for red(make sure it stays on the brightest red)

- tap the val bar in the right direction untill it flashes

Disk Board

• now, start up THUG2, go to premade skaters, then click chris
• now go to scale options, and flatten the board
• now stretch it it untill it looks like a disk
• change color with wheel color.

First off your gunna need some programs, yah think?

1. Guitar Hero Explorer -found on this site under downloads..  This is where all the magic happens... sorta
2. CD DVD-ROM Generator 1.20 - This is gunna be used for making the .IML file.  Ill talk about that later
3. Apache 2.0 - This is used to import that .IML file and convert it to a burnable .ISO file which will go on a disk

These next few things are going to be different depending on how you will play the modded game

4a. Modchip - You will need to open up Ps2 and solder this into your ps2.  This is good, if you do it right however.
4b. Swap Magic - This is when you take original disk, and swap it out with the modded, you need to do a cogswap explained later.

Now with Swap Magic there are 2 different options.
1. Buy the swap magic disk (yeah right)
2. Use a USB Flash Drive and do an exploit (fat ps2 only.  Read my other tutorial on exploiting)

Now that you got everything... i think... let us begin.

First off you need to get the Guitar Hero 2 data from the DVD Disk onto your computer via your DVD drive.  Or download it from a torrent source like "utorrent".  For this tutorial I'm going to put the files in a folder called "Guitar Hero 2" on my desktop.

Now open up Guitar Hero Explorer.  Then goto File>Archive>Add and then find the folder you made and go into the GEN folder and click on the MAIN.HDR file and click open.

You will get a message concerning something about archiving just click OK and wait for it to load.  From here you can mod pretty much anything from the game minus a few things.  Find the folder on the left side that says "songs" and open that up.  You will get a list of songs to choose from, all the songs in the game.

Click on a song you want to replace.  I'm gunna show replace that "yes we can" song... because it sucks really bad.  So click on it and you will see a list of files.  You need to download a proper song from the forums at ScoreHero.  This includes a Mid file, or .chart file, and a mp3 or something like that.

So now right click on the MID file and hit Import.  Then choose the chart or mid you downloaded.  This will replace the buttons you press.  Now find the VGS file the first one and test it to make sure its not the slowed version or what not.  To do that just click on it and there will be a play button.  Now when you replace the VGS you might need to set an offset from the song and the notes.  This would be specified by the person who made the song and notes.  They should tell you.  To do this click add and then choose the MP3 file or whatever.  Then right click it and pick properties and put in the offset.  This is recorded in milliseconds.

Now before you click OK make sure to fill the volume drop down boxes with either the left or right speaker.  Just do them all.
OK now once you've replaced all the songs.  Go ahead and close it, or extract the songs.dtb from the config>gen folder and editing that.  Details at Scorehero.com

Now, close Guitar Hero Explorer if you haven't already.  Then open CD DVD Generator.  Copy over the guitar hero files exactly as show...

Then goto File>Export .IML this should take seconds.  Now open up Apache 2.0 and choose File the Import .IML  then goto file again and choose Build ISO.  This is the image you will burn.  This too should take seconds.  Now use either DVD Decyrpter or Nero or Alcohol 120% to burn it as an Image file, not meaning picture.  I will be using Nero to burn this.

Click on Image, Protect, Copy and then choose Disk Image or Saved Project.  Then pick the DVD Drive and start the burn.  Pick a slow speed if possible.

Now you need to either use Swap Magic or whatever to play it.  Modchip you can play without original game, swap magic you need original game.  But, hopefully you got this.
