Opening statement:

I’ve had it.

I can not make it anymore simple than that. I no longer can sit here, and let Democrats and Republicans whittle away our precious Constitution. As a patriot, I love my nation to much, to let it go four more years, or even four more minutes.

I don’t have all the answers. In fact, I honestly must admit, I only have a few. But I know this, all the tools we need, are right in the Constitution. We’ve allowed the government to do for us, and control our destiny. This needs to stop, right here, right now. Every social, religious, political, economic problem in America will never be solved by the government. It’s a very unique moment in world history. For the first time, a mighty nation will either save itself or be destroyed, and have it broadcast in real-time, around the globe.

I think we are, as a nation, fearful of looking outside our two party system. Democrats and Republicans have all the "experienced" candidates, and we must have them in office. Only they can run the world, because of their experience. This has become a dangerous circular thought process, wouldn't you agree?

Well, it is not the job of the U.S. Government to run the world. Its not even their job to run America. Its our job. I know how that may sound in this small press release. Its true, and it is me looking at the big picture. Many people in this country have the qualities and patriotism to properly addministrate a public office. Political experience has nothing to do with it.

I look at the hundreds of political parties in this country, and wonder why the presidential race is not far more inclusive. I have taken the time, and read through many of their platforms. Some are good, some I don't agree with, but I respect all of them. The position of President is far too important, for it to go to one of two parties, every election cycle. The same holds true with our Congress. The elections should not always go to only the major parties.

It takes maybe five minutes, to click around a political party's website, thumb through their literature, and see if there are some ideas in there, that you want to see debated on a national level. There certainly is no shortage of information on all of America's political parties. I really hope that all 200 million eligible voters will look at the 2008 presidential campaign from an open perspective. As a citizen, patriot and candidate, I am willing to hold up my end. I am willing to do my part of the hard work, to make sure I let all of you know, about my respect for the Constitution, and eliminating every part of the federal government, that falls outside the Constitution.

Every election cycle we get bogged down in cliched politics and cliched sound bites. I could, and am more than willing, to spend hours talking intelligently on any one issue.

It all starts with thoughtful discussion and debate. Communication, on genuine issues, leading to simple solutions. This is what will bring America back from the edge. More taxes, more laws and more politicians will NOT do a lick of good. I’ve spent 23 years, being an activist, always trying to help my nation.

Again, I say it, I don’t know all the answers.

I would encourage all of you, to realize that the individual can make the biggest difference, always. I hope scores more, of "average citizens" hear my call. I want to see a whole roster full of patriots and thinkers, run for office; at every level.

We are Americans. We can do anything.

Five Days in January . . . . A Special Column series and the Oval Office according to FRN Newsletter.

Everything is political fiat, column 132

“Five days in January” part 1

The first of a six part series on what I would do, during my first five days in office, as President. The first two parts are an “ode to the five-headed establishment” and how I have come to envy the simplicity and “organization” of British politics

I write this series because i hear constantly the phrases “My first day in office I will do blah blah blah . . .” and “I want to be an agent of change.”

I could easily go the rest of my life and never want to hear a Dem or Repub utter those two phrases.

The “Five headed” establishment:

The Main-stream media

Someday we should have a contest, to see which major news outlet can repeat the same story in a single day. My money, as always, would be on CNN.

And ! ! I'll give you a point spread.

Obama wins Iowa! Wow, big deal. Hillary, can she survive? Can she 're-invent' herself and pull out a win in New Hampshire?

I could not be who I am, and work for CNN, unless I had the kind of latitude that is afforded Lou Dobbs.

The main-stream mush media is doing EXACTLY what they do every four years, when we have a national election cycle, they are trying to sell you and I either of the two major parties, and trying to not sell us, the hundreds of other Presidential candidates that are running.

I am quite certain, that as a write-in candidate, I will never see the inside of a CNN news studio, or even the sight of a CNN satellite van driving by my house, unless they're going to cover Hillary, McCain or Edwards.

This will never change, until large media outlets are actually owned by people like Lou Dobbs.

It is a crying shame that so much money is wasted on bringing us little snippets of what actually happened, instead of just providing us with “Who, What, Where, When and Why.”

Those of us who practice journalism everyday know this.

Thankfully, we have C-span and I have certainly been a C-span junky the last two days.

Large Corporations:

The ones who have bought and paid very good money for our current 534 members of Congress. Either through PACs, Lobbyists or direct support, 534 members of Congress serve the large corporate hands that write all those checks with all those comas.

I say 534, because there are 535 elected members of Congress, and Representative Ron Paul is the only one I am absolutely sure, takes no corporate money.

I hear John Edwards making some noise about kicking corporate lobbyists and their influence out of DC, but it is only talk. John Edwards has proposed a national health-care system, only slightly different than Obama's or Hillary's. So you can pretty much finish off that thought yourself.

I'd sure love to see the “inside numbers” of how much insurance companies and health-care providers have donated in “soft money” to the Dems and Repubs. That would be a worthy news story during this campaign coverage.

It really is up to you and i to solve this one part of the establishment disease, all of us need to vote for candidates who have refused to take corporate money of any kind.

This would give us literally hundreds of Libertarians, Reform party, Green party and Constitution party candidates in Congress.

This one is all on us, and that is the fact about that.

Academics:

This is probably the head of the establishment that turns my stomach the most. All the Liberal Elitist professors across the fruited plains, indoctrinating young minds with what “they” think are all the answers for America.

The group that really just wants to help you, and show you where you are going wrong in your life, and invent a new government program that will take all your worries away, for just a few more tax dollars out of your incredibly shrinking wallet.

It would give me pleasure, more than the wealth of ancient Egypt, to engage any one of these elitists in a debate on hard economics and the harsh reality of something known as the Constitution.

This group pretty much despises the Constitution, because they know it limits the amount of their “Social Engineering” ideas that can be implemented by all the indoctrinated minds that will leave Harvard, Yale, etc., and move into the public sector.

I am not being cynical, you see the same old group of elitist professors making the “panel discussion” circuit. All have offered up these fabulous books and huge complex ideas for solving the nation's woes, for just a few more tax dollars and just one more government run program.

I never hear one of these elitist professors talking about how power and sovereignty must be returned to the States and to the people.

It all goes back to their original mindset. These liberal elitists think they have discovered some fabulous new theory for organising and arranging society, and why can't people like me just let them engineer the masses the way they know it will benefit us all.

I am a Christian in my heart, and I pray to almighty God, that i get to debate one of these elitists in 2008.

Hey, there are stranger things to pray for, okay.

The “Money Center” Banks/Federal Reserve Banks

Joe Kennedy once said “that no business is far from the banking business.” He was right eighty years ago, and he would be right today.

Except for Congressman Ron Paul and Ambassador Alan Keyes, I expect every candidate to ignore the debt being created everyday, by the federal reserve system. I expect the media to not report the story, when Paul and Keyes routinely talk about this un-Constitutional entity.

I expect all the keepers of the keys, to do exactly what they always do, during an election year, on this issue.

That is, keep it out of public debate.

Which is why you always see the other candidates snicker and laugh when Paul will start talking about the federal reserve or the Gold standard in debates. If the other candidates snicker and laugh, they are betting the majority of the viewing audience will think that Congressman Paul is some kind of radical. They snicker and laugh because they want to keep the power-base right where it is, in the hands of the federal reserve banks.

The main-stream media really toes the line and shines at that one task. I can count every time I've heard someone on a major news outlet speak the truth about the federal reserve. The last time was October 2004, when one lonely economics professor actually said the federal reserve is a private banking cartel, that controls our economy and creates illegal U.S. Money, known as federal reserve notes.

Thats fine, the main-stream media cannot stop Ron Paul , Alan Keyes or myself for that matter, from continuing to push for a return to a Gold/Silver standard, thus stopping the inflation and debt-creation that is robbing Americans every second of every day.

The Federal Government

Exhaustion. The one word i can think of that fully captures my feels, emotions and perceptions on this thing we call the federal government.

The numbers are so simple:

In 1925 the federal government's budget was about 3% of Gross National Product (GNP).

Today, with so many trans-national corporations, we call that figure “Gross Domestic Product (GDP).”

Our federal government's budget is about 18% to 20% of current GDP. 18, 19 or 20% depends on who is providing you the numbers, and if they're counting “Off budget” items.

“Off budget” items and expenditures, Hmmmm . . . now that is an idea for a future column. I will work that in, sometime this year.

The 2008 federal government budget has over 9000 “ear-marks.” This is where the federal government gives a $500,000 grant to some professor to study methane admissions of bovine farm animals; or to build yet another bridge that leads to nowhere.

9000 ear-marks for Congress to hang their hat on, and President Bush to say “Ah shawks, guess I have to ink it into law.”

Save for Ron Paul and Alan Keyes, there are no candidates running, within the two major parties that will ever squeeze the federal government back into it's very specific sized Constitutional box.

The federal government has no authority to be involved in education, health-care, environmental laws, agriculture, energy, etc.

Can i share a “political day dream” I sometimes have?

I am on a stage, with Ron Paul and Alan Keyes and we are trying to see which of us can eliminate the biggest chunk of the federal government, including all the agencies that are un-Constitutional.

Okay, it is a pretty esoteric and weird day dream, but I am who I am.

In my day dream, Paul or Keyes always win, because both men are smarter and wiser than me, and I am aware of this.

The short of it, as i have stated before, both parties share all of the power inside the federal government structure. There really is no difference between the parties.

So, my fellow 200 million n change eligible voters, what do we do?

Well, I am going to continue this column, keep FRN Newsletter's website up to date, continue to elevate the conversation on fiat money and the federal reserve, and build PCs, my new little side business.

I will see the federal reserve eliminated one day, and the federal government back in the box. I have faith that the media cannot sell America sub-standard candidates forever and expect us to buy.

Next column, day One in a Dardzinski Administration. I'm telling you, the keyboard is going to get a workout on that task.

And there begins the task . . . .

Five days in January . . . . Part 2 . . . a special look at how a real activist would handle the duties inside the Oval Office

01.10.2008

Everything is political fiat, column 133

“Five Days in January” Part 2

My first day in office, as administrator of the executive branch's highest title.

Well, first things first, let me crack open a Pepsi and get an intelligence briefing.

You notice all candidates always say what they will do first thing?

The first thing ANY newly minted President does on the first day in office is get their very first intelligence briefing as commander-in-chief. It really is different because you then must act or not act on what is laid before you. You can't get away with just a press release, like Senators and Governors do, on how you would've made a different decision.

After the briefing, i would of course submit a legislative proposal to Congress for repealing of the federal reserve act and all amendments thereof.

I would sign a Presidential Decision Directive, authorizing the Treasury secretary to start issuing silver certificates in mass quantity.

I would then sit down for some lunch and turn on the news.

The stock market would immediately take about a 200 point plunge by the time I finished off a club sandwich and a side of cottage cheese. Note to White House kitchen staff, I love my cottage cheese with some pineapple in it. Possibly a nice medium sized Greek salad, minus the hot pepper, please.

The stock market of course would plunge because they would be showing their dis-taste for a President who would be taking away their ability to make money off all the inflationary federal reserve notes, that i would be removing from the open market, and replacing with good ole fashioned Constitutional, lawful U.S. Money. You know, the way it was meant to be.

Day traders always make money of the current U.S. Dollar, whether it be going up or down.

You and I, of course, lose. So goes the natural laws the govern the economic dynamics of money.

After lunch and watching wall street be itself, I would walk down to the press room and hold my first press conference and say EXACTLY what I just laid out above. But i would do it in pain staking detail, as to properly and fully annoy the White House press corp.

This would take until; about 4pm I am sure, after I answered all of their questions again and again and again. Same questions, different mouths uttering.

I would then go up to the Oval, sign off on a legislative proposal for eliminating the U.S. Tax code, and going to a tariff, impost and excise tax system, apportioned amongst the states, in accordance with the Constitution.

I would then order the Treasury secretary to suspend the IRS from conducting any further business, as the IRS has know Constitutional authority to collect taxes of any kind, and Congress has know authority to over-ride my order. In fact, Congress has no authority to create any IRS type agency to collect federal income tax.

This would give me something good to watch on CNN while having dinner. Then back down stairs to the press room, to hold another press conference and explain to the press corp again, why the federal income tax is illegal, and to calm their jittery nerves.

I am sure the federal reserve chairman would be calling for my head by this point. That i was a reckless president with no understanding of the complexities and uniqueness of the Global economic system.

I would therefore end my day by calling for the FED chairman to resign gracefully and to start phasing out federal reserve operation immediately, or I would have to walk over to 20th & C st (NW), and spank him or her.

They deserve a good spanking for creating approximately $1 Billion of inflation every day! But don't take my word for it, call 'em up and ask them yourself.

I probably should gather my entire staff at that point and hold our end of day one meeting. Where I would remind them that all days in the white house, hopefully, won't be as boring as today was.

You see a President can actually do the very simple common sense things i just described, and start America on a restoration path back to mother's milk al-a-carte-Constitution.

I write this column in real time as the primary results come flowing in from CNN, FOX news and other main-stream media outlets.

You all remember John Cox, the Presidential candidate from Illinois who graciously granted FRN Newsletter a very early interview.

John Cox received one percent of the republican vote in New Hampshire. I know this because i was flipping back and forth through four major networks and C-span. C-span showed every candidate who received at least one percent of their party's primary vote. CNN showed Mike Gravel at “0%” for hours on the Democrat side, but never showed John Cox's one percent. CNN did show former Senator and actor, Fred Thompson's one percent. Duncan Hunter also got one percent, but I saw that on C-span as well. It seems the way CNN had their screen set up, they showed only six candidates on each side.

This would be a glaring example of how the media tries very hard to sell some candidates over others. Nothing new here, and, nothing news here.

Thank you to C-span for always being 10 to 15 layers of journalistic quality above the main-stream mush media.

I called CNN and could not speak to a producer, unless I knew one by name. I called FOX news and didn't get anything more than a “feedback” chance to leave a voice mail, which i did.

I will hold this column for 24 hours, as promised in my message, to see if FOX will respond to why their coverage was so biased.

48 hours have passed, no call back from FOX news.

Thats okay, I need to start thinking about day two in the Oval, and ringing up a few heads of state.

}Five Days in January" part 3 . . . . Time to whittle away some fat.

01.12.2008

Everything is political fiat, column 134

“Five Days in January” part 3

Wakey Wakey ! ! ! It is now 6am, my second day in the oval office.

I am feeling like I need to apologize to all the day traders I picked on in my last column.

You may want to note this in the diary of your life, because I do not believe I have ever apologized to day traders on any issue.

Day traders really are smart, and they may actually boost the stock market.

They may actually pay attention to my previous press conferences and start doing smart trading decisions on this day two of Chris in the Oval.

They may start shifting portfolios into stocks of gold, silver and platinum mining companies, and all related industries that supply these mining companies.

They may start switching institutional buying to long term gold, silver and platinum mining contracts.

They may even buy some for themselves.

Okay it is 6:03am, and time to get moving.

I have many head's of state to call, and let them know there is a new sheriff in town.

That everything I did yesterday was NOT just to grab headlines or “appear” to be restoring the Constitution. Everything thing I did yesterday was NOT political fiat.

World leaders need to know that i will be personally overseeing the transformation of America from the current “socialized democracy” and back to a “Constitutionally limited republic.”

You know it really is not such a huge economic pill to swallow. One of the reasons why the Euro is such a strong dollar, is that the European central bank demands that member banks and nations back their money in the system with a certain amount of Gold.

This is one of the reasons why the Euro is pouncing all over the U.S. Dollar.

Most world leaders are in different time zones, so I would spend until 1pm on the phone.

I am thinking a really nice pork cop lunch, with apple sauce and a salad. Maybe a Dr. Pepper if the W.H. Kitchen keeps it on hand. If not, than a glass of milk will be fine. I am really a very easy person to cook for. I will eat almost anything, as long as it involves many calories.

2pm, and I have been surfing news outlets and seeing their reactions to everything I've done so far.

Time for some more legislative proposals. Unfortunately, some of the departments and agencies that must be shut down, it has to happen through laws passed by Congress.

The next proposal is to shut down:

Departments' of Energy, Education, Transportation, EPA, Commerce and fold Veteran's affairs back into DOD.

Because I am a work-a-holic and can easily be a “media darling” I am going to hop in my F150 truck and drive this bad boy of a proposal to the Hill myself. Slap a copy down the desks of the the Speaker of the House and the President Pro tempore' of the Senate.

Actually this is where the non-fun stuff begins. I really cannot drive my truck at this point. I'll have to either take one of the presidential Limos, or ride in one of the Secret Service “hard cars.” Prefer the hard car, less profile, saves on time and gas.

Plus I am really not “that guy” who likes Limos.

I am you, and we are us, and we are all one in the same. I may disband the entire fleet of limos, and just ride the secret service agent's cars and SUVs.

I will actually demand that all department secretaries do the same. These are small cuts, but they start to add up.

I would then ask the Speaker and the Senate President pro tem if they would like to join me for a press conference on the steps of the capitol, or maybe inside where it will be warmer, in case one of them has a cold, and we can address the nation together.

How quaint, three officers of the U.S. Government going on CNN and touting my proposal for returning authority to the States and the people, the authorities for things that are rightfully theirs.

Back to the White House by 5pm-ish and time for a second staff meeting.

I would explain to them that this is how it will be, constantly moving fast for the first few months, as to keep Congress of balance and start forcing them to act, in accordance with the Constitutional proposals I'm throwing down. It really is the way that you change the actual process and get things moving and get them done.

Very simple, very common sense.

I would also take aside all my “acting secretaries and senior advisors” for a special meeting. I would let them know that one full work day, 8 to 10 hours every week, must be set aside for them to literally invite citizens directly into their offices, and get all their ideas, perceptions and make sure that the administration is remaining true to the Constitution.

My Vice President would be required to set aside 12 to 14 hours per week. Myself being administrator of the office better do my bit and set the tone. 16 hours a week, every week.

I don't care if I have entire weeks where I'm over in Asia meeting foreign officials. I better make it up the next week.

This is not some cheap parlor trick to woo the masses. The President's door and that of his top people should be wide open to the citizens whom are our bosses.

No pre-screening, no vetting and absolutely no pre-condition of any kind.

If I decide that on Saturday from 7am to 8pm is going to be part of my time to sit down and see how my bosses think I'm doing, or how they think i need to change a few policies, beef them up, tune them down, if I may be over-stepping my boundaries. Then i need to know.

How can any employee do their job, unless their bosses are giving them direct feedback, right?

I have managed people before, and had to give positive and negative feedback. It wasn't easy, and it won't be for you, but that is your responsibility under the Constitution, as my boss, and I would hope that you take it seriously during our weekly meetings.

By The Way . . .

In my mind it really does work like this.

The sitting President does have the time to meet with all the citizens they choose to meet with.

I know exactly how complex the Presidency is, and how great the demands are on the President's time.

I also know exactly how much staff the President has.

It is a matter of priorities.

I don't see how any sitting President can properly and fully, administrate their office without regularly holding meetings with the public.

The President of the United States does not evolve into some God like being upon taking the oath of office.

If anything, the person that holds that office, their stature within America should diminish, as they become a public servant and officer in charge of guarding the Constitution.

I have written so many words about this very thing, how the mindset of this nation needs to explode onto the political scene, and put every federal office holder on the hot plate, and make sure they are doing their very best to protect and preserve our republic.

I write this 73 hours before the polls will close in my home state of Michigan.

I would like to hear one fellow Presidential candidate respond to any point or part I have quilled here.

Sure would be nice to see that happen, have the main stream media put this column out there, and commit a selfless act of true journalism.

January, Day number five. I get my first performance review from the boss.

01.27.2007

“EVERYTHING IS POLITICAL FIAT”

Five Days in January, part 6

Good morning boss, please sit down, and lets talk about my first week as your employee and civil servant.

Am I living up to all my duties under Article Two of the U.S. Constitution?

It is a very serious question.

I think one of the things I will request of all citizens that I am privileged enough to meet with, during our time together, is that you give me the “local take on things.”

Everything that is not covered by CNN, FOX, The New York Times and so forth and so on. Which would be about 98% of what is really happening in America. Have you ever noticed just how limited main-stream media journalism is?

If we can spend part of our time with you briefing me on how the local media is handling coverage of the federal government, economy and policies flowing from my pen. This would help a great deal.

Every President should avail themselves of the single greatest resource in the Nation, their boss.

I also want to know how your family is, how good the kids are doing in school or college. How is work, any good pizza joints I can pop in on, when I come around your area.

Lets just talk.

I also will need you to pull out your very worn copy of the Constitution and say with clarity and in a huge bellowing voice “Mr. President, you made a mistake here, and we need to talk about how you are going to correct it, immediately, if not sooner.”

I only ask that you refer to me as “Mr. President” because it is respect due the office, and the truly great people who have administered it before I came along. I would much rather prefer you just call me “Chris.” Now, what you call me after you leave the office is totally up to you.

Also, and this is also not a tactic. During the meetings, I will be sitting in front of “the desk” and you will sit behind “the desk.”

This is something that is terribly over-looked by politicians. When a private citizen is in the Oval office, seeing their civil servant, they must sit behind the desk, because they are the boss.

I'll sit in front with a notepad and pen, and try to take good notes on our meeting and my performance review.

Again, this is the kind of interaction that all presidents should have. We need feedback.

Also, If your concern, gripe or situation is something that needs to be addressed by a cabinet secretary, then I will have to call them up, and tell them to make time, because their boss will be stopping by, to give them an earful.

This really is the way it should work, in all administrations. There is nothing radical here, nothing out of the norm.

Just a very normal routine that happens everyday 100 million times over, a boss checking on an employee's progress, workload and performance.

I need to know other things as well, do you have a family member serving in the military? Do you know of a special teacher, professor, minister, preacher, etc., who has dome something extra-ordinary and deserves a call from me ( If they will take my call that is), just to say “Thanks and keep up the good work and keep the faith.”

A World Without Heroes?

Maybe not . . .

I find plenty of heroes just by watching everyday citizens go about their lives, and making it a better America.

Honestly folks, being President of the United States is not that hard, when you strip away the politics and “the game.”

Policemen put on a uniform, carry a badge and gun, and become that “thin blue line” that is law enforcement Soldiers, Sailors and Marines carry M-16s, M-14s, M-4s, etc., and are charged with the task of defending the nation and the constitution by force.

Presidents and Congress have it easy. They know this. If they don't, then they need to resign, because they do not understand.

Write me in!!! Read whats below. If you like it, then "write me in." If you don't like my views, then by all means; vote for more "same old same old" from the Ds & Rs. Oh, by the way, don't send me any money. I don't want it. I just want to serve.

I few random thoughts on our system:

A Constitutional/philosophical issue; debate. It has become a “four letter word”, in almost every mainstream media and political circle.

The three most important words in marriage are “ communication, communication, communication.” I would say these three words should apply to thoughtful debate as well. This should be a political axiom.

Whatever happened to manners and decency? Where contenders on a political stage discussed points of contention, with civility and grace. Where statesmen thought about defending a Constitution, and the “politician” was a four letter word.

We can communicate, as a nation, during our election process. We can choose to say:

“ I will support this person, because their ideas come from liberty, and are backed by conviction.”

Good debate is how real political movements start, build and remain strong. Technology now benefits both sides, the haves and the have-nots.

Technology allows for the large political parties and their media outlets, to saturate any demographic with watered down political dribble. It may sound good, be everywhere, but its not saying anything.

Now, for the first time, in nearly 80 years of political stagnation, the little guy really has a chance again.

For the price of an internet provider, anyone can now voice their views to the entire world. Grass roots organizations really need nothing more than a free website and e-mail accounts. It also has become easier for every citizen to jump online, and learn all there is to learn, about any candidate, party, group, faction, etc.

I guess what is required, is just time and motivation. Taking the time to sit down, punch in some search words, and see what AltaVista or google spit back on the Republicans. We have to be motivated to invest some time however. Thoughtful debate works exactly like that.

There is no magic wand, secret recipe or trickery, that brews a good political stew. What we add in, is what we will cook and serve.

Debate, in a phrase, is hard work. You are depending on all parties involved to be dedicated to ideas over personalities; conviction over “winning.” Good debate can spark freedom around the world. Lack of debate will surely see a socialist mentality take over our government, and our lives.

In the end, I can rattle on and on, it still comes back to the simple formula of communication.

We don’t need to wait until 2008. There is plenty of substantial change that can be made in November 2006. I am ready to seize the day.  I am ready to help facilitate real political and social debate in any way I can. I take comfort in that, because I know America is full of many smart people, who want the same thing.

Pragmatism must be set aside, for a brave new world. To quote a song by that wonderful British band, Coldpay: “Lets Talk.”

Thoughts on the Middle East

“Quest for balance”

I collect coins. Merely an amateur, but it is a wonderful way to study different cultures, nations, histories of people around our small world.

Coins and currency notes from middle eastern nations fascinate me no end. All other nations of the world, have some type of structure or pattern, to their money. There is a certain “spiritual” quality, inherent in the designs and graphics imprinted on middle eastern money. Its like staring into the honest history of a person’s beliefs in all things not of this world.

This is an important point. Most middle eastern nations do not separate their religious life, from social or political practice. So much talk by western nations, about bringing Democracy to that region of the world. As if “mob rule” political systems are somehow needed, for a people to be free. As if a deeply held religious practice, somehow impedes individual growth and freedom.

I argue quite the opposite. Only through one’s careful consideration of a spiritual journey, does an individual truly discover freedom, and the condition of their own heart and soul. Islamic law and its religious expression, have always held a special place in my thinking. I have a solid respect for people, whose faith is strong and resolute.

I hope and pray, that all nations on this small planet, not just the middle east, may someday throw off the shackles of their oppressors. But ridding the world of tyrants does not mean changing a any one person’s form of worship. In fact a strong Christian faith, sees me through my hardest of days, as I’m sure it is the same for people of Muslim faith.

I do not know my Koran very well. I suspect most Americans have never even opened one. That would be our loss. I’m also quite sick and tired of the worn out cliché that one does not discuss “politics or religion in polite company.”

I would say such closed minded thinking has left a huge gulf of misunderstandings on this world. To know a person’s politics and religion, is to begin to understand and appreciate the individual, on a level of merit.

Conversation has become such a lost art. I think that there are many of us out there, who yearn for good stimulating conversation. It is one of the reasons I write, in hopes of sparking real discussion, on all issues, amongst thoughtful people. A conversation, rounding out one’s religious beliefs. Now there is a real topic, worthy of time invest, worthy of all who participate. I enjoy learning more about the Muslim faith. I enjoy the way it is expressed in the coins of these nations. It may take me another 20 years, to understand the true importance of religion, within the Arab culture. It is surely worth my time. I remain a humble student to such a cause.

The Federal Reserve System. Not just my thoughts, but the facts as well.

Federal Reserve Notes are illegal. They are NOT “lawful U.S. Money.” The Federal Reserve System has no Constitutional authority to create and/or circulate them. The Federal Reserve System ( here forth referred to as FRS), has no legal authority under the Constitution. Congress has no legal authority to create a FRS or any other central banking system, that would issue a debt-based currency. Congress has no authority to create debt-based currency directly. The President has no authority to create a central banking system, like the FRS, no authority to issue debt-based currency, no authority to sign into law, anything that would ever allow for a debt-based currency or FRS styled central bank.

AND!!! I have always wanted to write that. Just like that, no different. Its very liberating, on many levels.

I have also waited 23 years to issue this challenge, to the FRS, White House, Congress, Federal Judges, economics’  professors and lawyers near and far:

PROVE ME WRONG !!!!   Please, dig out your copy of the Constitution of the United States of America, and prove me wrong.

Don’t have a copy? You can borrow one of mine. I will even mail it to you. Hell! I’ll overnight it to you.

"FED impact" part 1

The first in a four part series, as I examine the history, facts and mechanics of the Federal Reserve System. Though I love talking conspiracy, this series will not harp on that particular component. Any properly defined conspiracy, involving the federal reserve, happened many decades ago, and should not be taken out of context. This is very important, for understanding the over all scope and magnitude, of the FED's daily impact on you, your community, the nation and the world at large. The actual "FED conspiracy" is just one facet. Lets get started.

What is Money? A large and complex question. Mediums of exchange have been around since bartering and trade first happened into the human race. "Money" is a term, the same as Medium of exchange. Anything of intrinsic value can be used as a medium of exchange or "money."

The history of the FED begins on two timelines. The first on Thursday August 16, 1787. The delegates at the federal convention vote to strike from the articles of confederation " and emit bills of credit." Thus giving the Congress authority, under the new Constitution, to coin money of gold and silver. To issue notes that wmust have gold or silver backing them, 100%. The magnitude of this decision, at the federal convention, is beyoind calulation. It is everything. Second timeline begins around 1890. Robber barons ruling the day and America's economy. J.P. Morgan controlling the banking system on wall street. America saw a tremendous increase in banking assets and general wealth from 1890 to 1907. In 1907 roughly half of America's banking, S&Ls, thirfts and trust wealth had moved off of wall street. Finding new homes in the south and western states. Wealthy "money center" banks on wall street noticed the trend, and did not want to lose their economic influence. Plus the economy had grown so large, J.P. Morgan could no longer stablize and control it, as he had done in the previous two decades.

In November of 1910, five wealthy bankers, one assistant secretary from Treasury and one Senator, met at J.P. Morgan's hunting lodge off the coast of Georgia. Jekyll island. For seven days they theorized and laid out the basic super-structure, for what would become the federal reserve system. The seven did meet in secrecy. Staff at the hunting lodge were carefully screened, so that no individual would recognise any two of the seven. They all used nick names, and nothing was leaked to the press, beyond the cover story, that they were hunting and fishing.

This would be the "conspiracy" component of the whole federal reserve situation, of which i refer to. These seven men conspired, to create a private banking consortium, with the power of the federal government backing it up, and essentially, accountable to no one. Technically the congressional banking committees act as oversight. But that is merely for C-span cameras. On a daily functional basis, very few members of Congress have even the most kindergarden level understanding of the FED.

The Federal Reserve Act was signed into law at 6:02pm, on December 23, 1913. Thus creating the world's largest banking cartel. Not even the relatively new European central bank, has the authority or power of the FED.

The FED has steadily gained power and control over the global banking system, as the decades have passed. The largest power grab came in 1974, when President Nixon and assistant secretary at Treasury, Paul Volker, took the U.S. Dollar of the gold standard, and went to a fluctuating currency system. The impact this has, on our daily lives, cannot be measured. The magnitude is almost beyond imagination. Bad money, will always drive out good. It is the simple laws that govern money. It has been that way since the beginning of time. When a nation, empire, federation, republic, etc. stay on a properly gold/silver backed cuurency, the nation will thrive. the people will have actual value, to the notes they circulate. When a nation does what we did, in 1913, start circulating debt-based "federal reserve notes", creating a monetary system of credit; a nation will fail. It is only a matter of how much time it takes, for the bad money to drive out the good.

I for one, want America back on a gold/silver standard, as required by the Constitution. It takes a certain combination of nerve, brains, facts and perspective to come out and boldly say " The federal reserve sytem is an illegal privately owned banking cartel, creating and circulating debt-based notes, that are un-constitutional." I enjoy saying it, because as a journalist I am bound to present the facts, even when it is in the form of commentary. I have spent so many years, trying to get the FEd to refute any part of what I just laid out. They never have, because they know they can't. The truth remains the truth; regardless of political winds.

I hope you all will come back for part 2, when I examine the facts that this brief history, has brought into fruition.

"FED impact" part 2

The facts! Lets start with a current list of facts, surrounding the FED, and our economy.

Fact 1. Congress has no authority to create debt-based currency. The President has no authority to create a central banking system, like the FRS, no authority to issue debt-based currency, no authority to sign into law, anything that would ever allow for a debt-based currency or FRS styled central bank.

Fact 2. "Bad" money will always drive out "good" money. This is known as Grisham's law.

Fact 3. As of this writing, our federal debt ceiling will be increased to $9 trillion.

Fact 4. Depending on borrowing rates, set by the FED, interest payments on the federal debt, per year, will be at least $325 to $350 billion. By 2015, $100 billion or more, will go to China alone, for their central bank, financing of our debt

Fact 5. The federal reserve system is a privately owned banking cartel/consortium. With large "money center" banks having the majority of power. The federal reserve system is also an independent agency within the federal government. The FED has the full authority of the U.S. government, backing up any policy that is set br the Board of Governors and the Federal Open Market committee.

Fact 6. The issuance of Federal Reserve Notes, as legal tender, will only keep the federal government's debt growing. Any "bill of credit" serves the interests of bank profits, and remains the root cause ioflation.

Those are sobering facts. I wish I was smart enough to tell you how America can easily, safely, and quietly wean herself off of these facts, and back to a gold standard. There is one more fact, the longer we wait, the harder the change.

I so see technology playing a paramount role, in how the information is handled and distributed. The real battle will take place within the media and cyberspace. Small honest publications like this one, willing to lay out the facts, no spin, and let the readers decide. The same in cyberspace. A small, dedicated group of websites, distributing hard facts, with honest intent. Those two groups, trying to punch through a media monopoly on the American market. Seriously, do you ever think you will see NBC news reporting live from the FED headquarters, saying " inside this building, a small grouip of 12 people, are deciding almost every facet of the global banking system." Not going to happen, ever.

That is a shame, really. It is indicative of a media culture, more interested in being in control of information; instead of honestly reporting information. Those half dozen facts above, are merely the beginning.

I hold the public in higher regard, than the major media. We're an educated and innovative society. I think the recent out cry, over the Dubai port deal being slushed, is a recent good example. Give people good information and facts, show them how it affects their lives and look out! The people will rise up, dial in, and let their leaders know what is on their minds. Self government in action. truly an American invention.

Lets consider one more FED fact. Immediately after President Nixon took us off the gold standard, we saw inflation hit 18%. In a span of only seven years, from 1974 to 1981 America went from being one income households, to two people working. The main cause, inflation. Families just trying to get by. Inflation will continue to change the way we save and spend. The mechanics of our economy and money system must be changed back to a system of free market balance. The FED has made plenty of money off your hard work, the last 92 years.

"FED impact" part 3

The mechanics. Even though the entire banking system and money, is moving at the speed of light, the rules of mechanics still apply. To understand the mechanics of the FED, the structure should be explained.

The Board of Govenors of the federal reserve system, head quartered in D.C. Is made up of seven members, including a chairman and avice-chairman. Board governors servwe 14 year terms, and the chairman abd vice-chairman serve four terms. They also serve their 14 year term, as a member of the board. There are no term limits. The positions are nominated by the President, and confirmed by the Senate.

The system is made up of twelve regional banks. All are private corporations, with member banks of their region. All twelve have a board of directors, and a bank president. The regional FED banks have branch offices, depending on the size of the region. Detroit has a FED branch bank, and we are in district seven, with the regional bank in Chicago.

The FED bank of San Francisco covers the largest region.

The Chairman of the board of governors, of the federal reserve system cannot be fired by the President of the United States. The Chairman can resign his office, or be impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives, and removed by the U.S. Senate. Also to drag out a bit of Constitutional knowledge here. It is my analysis, that under the first amendemnt's clause for a redress of grievances, the citizens of the United States could vote on a national referendum, to remove an appointed FED chairman. This works in theory. I don't see a national movement ever happening, even on a topic as important as the furutre of our money.

Still a redress of grievances can lead to a national referendum. It is a very important "check and balance" mechanical piece to remember, when talking structure, cause and affect.

Interest rates. The FED controls how they are set, and when. The main mechanical tools used for rates, are the "Federal Funds Rate" and the "Discount Rate." The federal funds rate, is the rate at which member banks may borrow from each other. The discount rate, is the rate at which banks may borrow from the federal reserve.

Member banks are also required to keep a certain percentage of assets, or "reserves", within the FED system. The FEd can change the amount or percentage of these reserves at any time.

The FED also has a system for clearing your checks, called ACH. Which stands for Automatic Clearing House. The FED literally sees every check that is written or transacted electronically. From a mechanical stand point, this actually works quite well.

How "money" works, within the system

- The Treasurt department needs to finance debt for one business day. It must put up for sale, necessary bonds to cover the debt. Lets say $2.43 Billion. the current level per day.

- The FED will creat enough "liquid" within the monetary system, to cover these bonds. It accomplisjes this by creating 2.43 billion federal reserve notes. But! The FED must also create enough federal reserve notes to cover the cost of printing the the first $2.43 bllion notes.

- The FED them Buys the Treasurt securitiesm usually in $100,000 blocks. These are called T-bills. Ten year bonds are also a common security used to finance the federal government's debt.

- The FED charges interest to treasury, for financing of this debt. That interst must be paid, every year. Current interest payment on federal government debt, for fiscal 2005 was $354 billion dollars.

- Other government agencies, private banks, foreign cnetral banks and foreign private banks also buy and finance the federal government's debt. The Central bank of china currently holds $660 billion of our debt.

- The FED must create federal reserve notes to cover all the other parties who finance our debt as well. Which are then used to cover the Treasurt securities that are then bought by these parties.

- The Bureau of Public Debt, within the Treasury dept. is then responsible to service the debt on hand, and to make sure all interest payments are made.

- After interest payments are made back to the FED, on the federal government's debt. The FED then issues an "interest rebate" to the Treasury dept. The FEd even announces this in regular press releases.

So, at the end of the day. The FED and member banks have made money off creating debt-based federal reserve notes. They have made money off the interest payments made by the Treasury dept. The Treasury dept.has received an interest rebate. You and I got stuck with the inflation from all of this creating and swapping of debt.

Part 4, I'll discuss more mechanics of the FED system, and the components of money itself.

03.31.2006

Everything is political fiat, column 23

FED impact, part 4

Lets continue with the remaining mechanics of the FED, and our money system. Now, in theory and "principle", money is anything that can be used to settle or "pay" a debt.

Our money supply and economy are made up of four basic components, M0, M1, M2 and M3.

M0: The total of all physical currency, plus accounts at the 12 federal reserve banks which can be exchanged for physical currency.

M1: M0 + the amount in demand accounts ("checking" or "current" accounts).

M2: M1 + most savings accounts, money market accounts, and certificate of deposit accounts (CDs) of under $100,000.

M3: M2 + all other CDs, deposits of Euro-dollars and repurchase agreements..

These components have changed over the years. M3 never included Euro-dollars until they were "created" by the EU and its central bank. The FED still retains an immense amount of control over all these components.

We now get into what I will call "assets." These are real valued "goods" that can be bartered with, by the FED and the federal government.

Some convertible/tangible assets would be our national forests, unclaimed resources and repositories of gold, silver, platinum, uranium, coal, iron ores, tacanite, and the list is endless. Under the rules and regulations of "eminent domain." the U.S. Government can instruct the Federal Reserve Banks to place a "value" on these "national assets." Actually, the FED can place a value on these assets without the U.S. Government even asking. But this brings us to a technical and gray area of assets, that is way beyond my abilities to compress into a column. So forgive this lapse in my writing.

The reason you would place a valuation on national assets, is for times of dire straights. But as debt rises , the real need for this becomes more evident.

If Europe, Japan and China all called in our debt obligations to them. The USA would be in a real pickle. The FED simply could not cover that many loans at once. It would cripple our economy. Hence the problem of having to be dependent on debt-based currency in the first place.

Still, national assets could be valuated by the FED and converted into collateral, to cover outstanding notes. Its a prospect I do not look forward to. But as real debt increases, it is a looming and dark "Blade Runner" reality.

Then there are the less tangible mechanics of how the FED operates, on a daily basis.

The FED works very closely, in tandem, with the European central bank, the bank of Japan, central bank of China, and other major banking players.

The FED has strong ties to wall street, and all the large money center banks we discussed earlier.

The most important "mechanics" about the FED, is the relationship it plays within the global economic/banking structure. Our federal reserve system, sets the tone. Its power is beyond anything you can imagine. Entire industries sit on edge, waiting for the FED to raise this rate, or make that comment. What I have done in these four very small sketches, is give a glimpse into the real power base of America. The FED creates our money, and the world follows suit. Everything that is banking, economics, politics and power, begins and ends with the FED.

Dramatic end statement? maybe, but not by much. Please, don't limit your education of the FED on these little columns. It Is a terrifying, but fascinating subject.

Education. . .

Eliminate the department of Education.  It is doing nothing to improve America’s schools.

Local school boards and parents should control the education within their respective districts.

If a kid is not doing the work, don’t pass him.

If a teacher is not teaching, fire them; and I don’t care what the NEA or AFT have to say about that.

Dealers dealing in the school, arrest them. Kids bringing weapons to school, arrest them.

Put them in jail, where they belong.

Education proposal:

1. Lengthen the school year by 40 days. Teachers need more time to teach. There are far too many basic subjects being short changed. Mathematics and Science lead the pack, on subjects needing more attention.

2. Local school boards should be allowed total access to any information they need, from state, federal governments.

Group Rights ????

This is a long standing problem in America. I don't see the federal government ever being able to solve the problem. Mainly the problem of "Group Rights" is a social problem, in the way we think, and the way we want "rights" handed down from government systems.

There are NO group rights protected under the U.S. Constitution, and its a good thing. The individuals rights are recognised, nothing more. It is the only way a society remains truly free.

Be very careful America. You never want the federal government to start issuing rights based on "group needs."

Abortion

Abortion . . .

I won’t get into theology here. I don’t have to. Abortion is premeditated murder of a human being. “Posterity”, by definition, all future generations, are protected under the Constitution.

“unborn” U.S. Citizens are NOT property, and entitled to every clause, phrase and word, of the Constitution. If you don’t believe me, then read the 14th amendment.

Sponsors

Drugs

I think pissing your life away, taking drugs, is the biggest waste. People need to take responsibility for their own actions.  Don’t blame your woes on drugs.

Also, drug dealers should be dragged out into the middle of street, and brutally beaten to death, with baseball bats.

Now, is there anyone who does NOT understand my views on drugs?

I hate Lobbyists!!!

I've never met a lobbyist, that did NOT repulse me.

A tale of two political consultants, Jack Abramoff and Christopher Dardzinski

Mr. Abramoff the world now knows, and me? Well you’re all just learning about my beliefs, beefs and goals. People like Abramoff truly bring American politics to its lowest of low. Though I encourage all of you, to follow this investigation carefully and with muse.

You see, as a journalist and political consultant, I truly have a unique view on this exploding scandal. I have actually been there. I’ve seen all this behavior, influence peddling, money giving, favor giving, crony-ism, FIRST HAND!

It is a real sobering experience, to spend your own money and time, going to D.C.; trying to get legislation passed, to return America to a Constitutionally required gold standard, and be ignored. Ignored by the very officials who work for me.

Abramoff is really the beginning, there are many public officials who could be taken down. Though they have money, power and good “K-street” lawyers to protect them.

Corruption in government is no new thing. It is as old as the wind, but croons a much sadder song. The media is already calling it the biggest scandal of the last 50 years. I certainly hope so.

Maybe even big enough, that America will remember come election time, 2006.

Oh! Hold on a minute, I’m not talking about voting out this current bumper crop of politicians. No, this discussion runs far deeper, for those willing to open their minds.

America is at a global turning point, where our livelihood and leadership are both uncertain. Where our very society is in flux. I wonder what exactly it takes, to get the average American interested and concerned in their government and civics again? The English language does not allow me to properly convey how sick and tired I am of hearing mature adults say “that’s just the way it is, and you can’t fight city hall.”

No. No longer good enough, not when everyone then complains that nothing changes, and things only get worse. Where do you think change starts? The next guy? No, Its starts within you. Your community, your county, your state, your nation. Everyone out there, of voting age knows this, we also know that government and our public officials are corrupt. So what do we do? Vote them in again? Not me however. I refuse to vote for a person, unless I am convinced they have a good heart, and are a true patriot.

This last presidential race, the liberals picked a candidate, who could not even beat George W. Bush. Please tell me America, that you are aware there are choices besides the two largest parties? And I already hear the same old clichéd response, “ If you don’t vote for one of the two major parties, you’re just wasting a vote, because the other parties can’t win.” I mean, does anyone see a problem when melding this up to the other axiom, that “everybody knows” they are corrupt.

Take this moment, and realize your choices are as wide as the heavens. We are Americans, we bow down to no one, we strive for the best, we live to be free.

Jack Abramoff was only able to peddle money to people who were willing to take it. The American dream is about the struggle be more than what you are.  Think my brothers and sisters, that struggle needs to bring in a whole new leadership. People in public office who would look at Jack Abramoff, rip up his check, and shove it back in his face.

Terrorists. . .

Terrorism

Whether foreign or domestic, they are cowards, murderers and thugs. Nothing more. Not even worth the designation of  human beings.

Its very very simple. All terrorists need to be hunted down, and killed. Those taken alive should be afforded a fair trial. Far more consideration then they deserve. Far more consideration than they give their victims. But this is America, a nation of laws. Even a terrorist gets a fair shake here.

If you read and believe only one thing I have written here, then believe these words. If I ever served this nation, as President, I DO NOT NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS.

“A World Without Heroes” Part 6

“Write me in” remember that? Back a few moons ago, when I officially announced I was a write in candidate for the Position of office of the President. Remember this is the sub-series of columns i write when I find things totally senseless and absurd. The 2008 Prez-wannabee race surely qualifies.

There has been so little actual debate. I see and hear only Rep. Paul and Ambassador Keyes talking the truth and verbalizing the foundation of liberty, as vested in our Constitution.

EVERYONE else is pretty much Blah Blah Blah. They talk and talk and talk and talk, and not one meaningful phrase leaves their mouths.

I am going to be a “presidential candidate” in these next series of columns, and discuss the Constitution and one issue per column.

And by all means, all you candidates out there, if you have a response then “send it in”. FRN Newsletter will surely post verbatim, any responses you make on any topic I quill.

We call that debate. . . .

Now that I have set the political breakfast table, here is topic one:

Yeah, you guessed it, the federal reserve. Still the single most important problem our nation and federal government must deal with. Except this column is not going to be like the 15 or so other columns I have written on the FED. This time I'm hitting back with both hands clenched.

Save for Alan Keyes and Ron Paul, no other candidate attempts to formulate any real thoughts on the FED. This is for one of two reasons, one they know very little about how the FED works and therefore do not care. Two, they know exactly how the FED works, and still do not care.

The Federal Reserve System creates fiat money (Federal Reserve Notes), which are the root cause of inflation. The FED protects the wealth and positions of the largest banks in America and serves as over-all mother hen to wall Street.

In all my years I have come across only two authors/economists brave enough to write serious books that bring the full view of the FED in to focus for the general public. The first author is G. Edward Griffin and the second author is the man tapping out this column.

If you ever decide to read one of the finest books ever written, one that is true but reads better than any sci-fi or spy thriller, then buy a copy of “The Creature from Jekyll Island.” Griffin's book is brilliant, 100% factual, accurate and incredibly well researched. His “FED book” is second to none. You will not be able to put it down. AS I commented in my own book, I wish I were half the writer Dr. Griffin is. I may have some small amount of growing talent as a columnist and journalist. Dr. Griffin is a fully seasoned author and economist. “Jekyll Island” is must read material for every voting aged adult in America.

Every presidential candidate should be given a copy to read, while they're stumping the campaign trail for your money and your vote.

My book “The Conversation That Almost Happened” takes a different approach to the FED. My book serves as depository for information on the FED, and as launching pad for a serious national discussion followed up by citizen action.

The Federal Reserve System is a DIRECT violation of Article One, Section Eight of the U.S. Constitution This is a fact.

Congress and the President remain powerless at best, to stop the FED, even if they wanted to.

Every year, without question, the working and middle classes pay the federal reserve 100's of Billions of dollars, in interest payments on the federal government's debt.

This level of debt financing, combined with the inflation it causes will bring down America. It will someday ( sooner than you think) directly affect our freedom, liberties and out national sovereignty.

This is NOT me being an alarmist, this is me being one of three Presidential candidates willing to speak the truth.

This nation must return to a Constitutionally required Gold and Silver standard, and we absolutely must do it right now. Congress could pass a law tomorrow, the President could sign it, putting America on its' way back to economic freedom, instead of remaining enslaved to the federal reserve system, and the wealthy bankers they serve and protect.

I challenge any presidential candidate to find a Constitutional, logical or economic error with my analysis of the federal reserve.

I would gather that most Presidents are not smart enough or educated enough, to understand the real complexities and near absolute power the FED has over our economy and banking system. Very few members of Congress fully understand the FED as well.

America's economy is literally being controlled by the 12 people sitting on the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC, the decision making body inside the FED. The FOMC has more real power and more realized power than Congress or the President.

As I discuss in my book, it is almost possible for the President to eliminate the FED, but not quite.

First thing you need is a sitting President with exceptional knowledge of economics and the FED. People would need to trust that the President is pursuing repealing of the federal reserve act and knows how to go about it.

Second the sitting President would have to be able to put his own life on the line for the Constitution. I do not make that statement lightly. If a sitting President ever attempted to eliminate the FED, they would be under a world of pressure not to. I mean literally a world of pressure. The President would have very few allies and the task itself would consume an entire presidency.

But, it would be worth it.

Very few people in America could meet the standards I've laid out.

Yet I still believe just the right person in the oval office could do it. I also believe that America will never elect such a person, because they would need to look outside the two major party political establishment.

This scares most voters because the mainstream media is always willing to overlook the hundreds of political parties that are labeled “fringe” or “third party.”

That is a crying shame. All of these parties offer candidates of real dedication and resolve towards our Constitution.

Well, as a candidate myself, I think I have made my views on the federal reserve system about as plain and raw as possible.

I wonder what kind ( if any) responses I will get from the eight media relations people at the FED, that will also receive this column?

Only 14 months left in this prez-wannabee election. Don't forget to vote.

Ideas, Thoughts and "A World Without Heroes"

“ A World Without Heroes” Part 7

The special series continues, as i share my thoughts, ideas and muse. I have no illusions or delusions about being a write in candidate. Essentially I count on the circulation and distribution of this column for exposure. I'm just a working class guy, who happens to take the Presidential race very seriously.

Don't get me wrong, If CNN or the New York Times wants to grant me an open forum interview, I wouls surely accept.

This column I started at 10:08pm on the evening of September 11, 2007. Six years after 3000 of our countrymen were brutally murdered by a global terrorist network named Al-Qaida.

I have already heard, read and seen many reports and anniversary pieces in the media today, as i am sure you have as well.

Hopefully I can reach all of you on a different level.

Last night is when it really started to sink in, while i was taking out the trash, six years later and Al-Qaida is by most accounts capable of launching terrorist attacks almost anywhere in the world.

This bothers me, as a political analyst but mainly just as an American.

As I have mentioned before, almost any problem in the world can be solved, if people, groups and governments are willing to allocate the proper amount of resources towards that problem.

It took me far longer to gather up the trash than I expected, as i was trying to sort through “stuff” in our storage room and make room for different “stuff.”

Way to much stuff in our basement.

Our basement is a good metaphor on the inner workings of my brain. There is a lot of stuff in there, I know where most of it is, even though some of it is pretty hard to get at on some days.

I really wish the federal government had not made this “Patriot's Day.” The fact that i say that, does it surprise you? All of you know how seriously I take my patriotism and the Constitution.

If I would have been President in 2001, when the Al-Qaida fanatics attacked us, I would have probably made 9/11 “Country men's Day.”

But enough on my over filled basement and what I would name this day in history.

I really want to tell you about Robert “Bob” Zemke, my Dad's best friend. My dad and Bob are both serious Christian men, Catholic and very much understand God's plan and eternal grace.

Bob copied me into an e-mail, that i opened minutes before starting this column. I'm so glad i did. I was going to write a hard-edged political piece on the sixth anniversary of 9/11, but 100's of other columnists have already done that.

My Dad and Bob besides being very devoted Christians are also very smart men. They have wisdom and a deep understanding of how this world must change and rediscover faith and the divine.

I wish I were 5% as smart as my Dad or Bob. But I'm not, and I'm accepting of that.

My anger over 9/11 still haunts my thoughts and fills me with rage at times. I see the “political” decisions that were made or not made, and I am fuming at a government that cannot even eliminate this one terrorist group.

My Dad and Bob would comfort me at times like this, and say “Chris, there is a greater plan at work.”

They of course are right, and i just remain trapped by my anger and cynicism towards our government, which cannot get the job done.

Then it happens, I calm down and focus on the truth, which is God, and how his son Jesus Christ died for all of mankind's sins, and we are made whole again, through the holy spirit and through the word of God and a holy trinity that keeps the universe in balance.

I wonder what all the presidential candidates would think right now, if they chose to read this far into my column?

It occurs to me that we do not spend enough time discussing the divine power that has created all living things. Which is not very good, considering that Jesus Christ was himself a teacher and a “transmitter” of the holy spirit and more precisely, a catalyst for human beings to connect with the divine.

When my older brother was last in town from San Francisco, we talked one night, very deeply about religion and the “expansion” policy that most major religions employ.

This is human nature at work. Most major religions want more converts, more followers and more “believers” if you will. This is not by any means a bad thing, it is human nature to try and expand any group, association or belief.

The perverted fanatical brand of Islam, practiced by Al-Qaida members is no exception. This group of hardcore murdering fanatics want to see the entire world converted to Islam, either through one's individual journey and eventual acceptance of the Qur'an and its' teachings; or to accept Islam at the end of a sword.

Bin Laden believes this. I know it, I can feel it.

I myself, being a Christian, will go on studying the Bible and trying everyday, to follow God's word. Try and follow the incredible sacrifice his only son made for all of mankind.

I guess Al-Qaida will never see me as a convert. I have some additional news as well, I will not serve on my knees, at the tip of an Islamic sword pushed in my face. In fact, Al-Qaida should fear Americans like me, because I am not afraid.

I struggle with my faith, as all Christians do. I sin, as all Christians do. I pray for God's mercy, as all Christians do. I hope i will be in paradise, at the end of my earthly “sojourn”, when the father calls me home. I pray I will find the path, through the spilt blood of his son. I pray the Holy Ghost will guide me.

I hope I didn't confuse anyone their by saying “Holy Ghost.” I am just old enough to remember my Grandma, on my Dad's side, saying grace and using “Holy Ghost.”

While cleaning out the storage room and gathering up the trash, I found a shopping bag full of old cassettes. Some were home made, with all my favorite songs. Mostly 60's and 70's music.

I did record one newer song by Amy Grant called “EL Shaddai.”

“El Shaddai” is ancient Hebrew and there is no direct translation into modern English. A literal translation is “God of the Mountain.” Though in modern times El Shaddai has been translated as “the Father” or “the One.” This would be an area of Christian dogma where you would have to talk with my Dad or Bob, who have far more knowledge of such biblical translations.

It is one of the finest recordings of the entire 80's decade and one of Amy Grant;'s biggest hits.

I Love the song because it humbles me, and centers my scattered thoughts. I think about how very young Amy Grant was when she recorded that song, the pressure to get such powerful words and music just right.

I'm really glad i found that old bag of tapes, especially that one home made tape.

I wonder about all the other candidates for president, and how they have reflected on this anniversary of 9/11. Or is it just a political moment to them?

I know 55 million registered voters will not write my name in, come November 2008.

Maybe two or three hundred will, maybe not.

None of that matters right now. I can sleep tonight knowing that I have my faith, and that God has a plan, which I am not privileged to know all the details.

This is fine with me, for I am a common man, only seeking his grace and his mercy.

I pray the next elected president shall have at least one moment as i have laid out for you here tonight. A moment where reflection on our connect to a divine power and our connection to each other is what really matters.

The kind of “Life-force” connection that makes all people whole.

I pray our next President has 5% the wisdom of my dad or his friend Bob.

My continuing series on my very specific and very different thoughts, as your favorite write in candidate.

Did I say that? I hope I become America's favorite “write in” by November 2008. We now have 13 ½ months left in the Prez-wannabee race of 2008.

This column I will discuss my views on abortion.

I am pro-life, plain and simple. To abort any pregnancy is premeditated murder. This is not my religious view. This is plain simple logic.

At the moment of conception a unique human being has been created. In this country that human being has protection under the Constitution in general, but specifically under the 14th amendment. You can ask the other candidates to try and follow this logic, though I feel it will escape most of them.

Yes I think pregnancy as a result of rape or incest are horrible crimes, and i will tell you straight out, I have no idea what i would tell any woman who must face that kind of decision.

A lot of Presidential candidates or members of congress think they can side-step this issue by saying “It is a State's rights issue” to decide their own criteria for abortion.

WRONG ! ! !

The 14th amendment states that all citizens have the same protection under the law, regardless of religious beliefs, ethnicity, etc. Without the 14th amendment a woman or married couple could argue that the unborn baby is their “property” and they can make decisions on what to do with their property.

The 14th amendment binds the hands of every President, Vice-President and member of Congress elected. They must, as officers of the United States discharge the duties of their office. They must make sure the 14th amendment is not violated.

Abortion is more than pre-meditated murder, it is un-constitutional.

What i find absurd about listening to so many Candidates for the oval office, is many of them are lawyers. They should know this from law school, and the required courses they take on the Constitution.

Am I missing something here? Come on all you Presidential candidates out there, crowding the field. Only a few of you have specifically and plainly spoken your views on abortion.

The rest of you use sound bites.

Abortion is murder, abortion violates the Constitution.

“ A World Without Heroes” Part 9

My continuing roaming, cascading and “without a net” views on all the issues our next President could, would and should face. My “write me in” columns continue as i discuss what I think needs too happen regarding America's health care system.

First off the federal government has no authority to provide health care to the nation and its' citizens. I'm not being heartless here, I just need to stick up for the Constitution.

There are many un-necessary burdens on our health care system. Lets walk through a few of them:

  • We do not exercise enough, we eat to much fatty and high sodium foods.

  • We drink and smoke to much.

  • We consume the majority of the world's “hard” drugs.”

  • We hardly ever do what our doctor tells us.

  • Way to many insurance companies.

  • Way to many lawsuits.

  • Way to many people using the ER as a family doctor.

  • Way to many illegal aliens clogging up the health-care infrastructure.

Does anyone remember the first person to recommend national government controlled health-care, as part of a social/political framework for a society and nation?

I'll give you three hints, he was a brilliant writer, an in-raptured politician and a notorious robber of individual rights.

If you guessed Karl Marx, then give yourself 10 points.

Socialized health-care, education, central banking, graduated income tax and centralized labor practice; were all key aspects of Marx's Communist manifesto.

Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and all the other candidates suggesting some form of national health-care, are actually quite late to the party. Karl Marx formulated the first socialized system for health care well over a hundred years ago.

As you may have guessed, I am strictly opposed to any federal government involvement in out health care infrastructure or industry.

This would be exactly the wrong direction for a relatively free nation to head down. It is a path that once you start down, you literally can never turn back. A slippery slope gamble with our very lives.

Hillary has revived her husband's old plan of 14 years ago.

I remember it well, because it was one of the proposals before Congress that I railed hardest against, during my '93 trip to D.C.

I remember reading the Clinton health care proposal, which i would directly attribute to a percentage point or three in my current vision loss. If I am remembering correctly it was around 1360 pages long. I remember suffering actual depression after reading it. It was a framework for more than socialized medicine and health care. It was a basic framework for social engineering of an entire nation and society.

I do believe it is possible for the federal government to create the proper agencies and bureaus to administrate such a system. I also believe we could finance a socialized system of health care with enough debt-based tax dollars. I also know for a political fact, that America's freedom would come to a quick end, in less than two generations. If you have a socialized kealth-care system, the first thing you need is a national ID card. I'm not talking CFR-conspiracy stuff here, I'm talking logical progression.

Around page 250 in President Clinton's plan came a very chilling series of paragraphs. 14 years later and i can still see them in my head. In one buried section, very briefly, the proposal laid out criteria for doctors to represent the cultural, ethnic make up of the community where they practice medicine. In other words white doctors in white communities and black doctors in black communities, ans so on.

I guess you had to have already consumed the first 250 pages of a socialized health care proposal, to fully appreciate the slippery slope of such paragraphs. Not to mention there was still 1100 pages left to read.

I was quite offended by those paragraphs. I prefer, as a free citizen to choose my own doctors and the areas where I choose to be treated.

I have never mentioned this before in a column, because i never had to, but now i must clarify some things about myself.

For those of you who have never seen my column photo or met me, i am a soon-to-be 40 year-old White male of Polish, Italian and Russian heritage. Yes, I am “that guy” with the glasses and the slightly chubby cheeks.

I am that white male for all intensive purposes.

Like many single men in this nation, from 18 until about 31 I didn't have a PCP. I didn't need one because i was to tough, healthy and so on, to waste time and money on doctors. Plus i always could spend plenty of money on eye doctors, because of my legal blindness and vision loss.

Then the company I worked for was bought by a huge company and we all had to pick a PCP for our benefit's plans, etc.

I didn't care for my first doctor to much. She left and i picked another doctor, who just by chance happened to be assigned extra patients.

Her name is Dr. Renee Armsted. A doctor i referred many co-workers and friends to since my initial appointment with her.

Renee Armsted worked out of a medical center in Southgate Michigan, until she opened up a practice in the Ann Arbor area.

I take the time here to explain this because i was a mess when she took my on as a patient and i didn't know it. My blood pressure was out of control, lack of sleep was catching up with me after 15 years and my cholesterol was the things of horror stories.

Southgate Michigan is a mostly white suburb located 10 miles south west of Detroit.

I instantly felt a real good patient-doctor kinship with Dr. Armsted. She really listened to you, really cared about all the little things in your life. She also has a fabulous laugh that made you feel better just sitting there in the exam room. A young doctor with a genuine old-school doctor touch. A healer and a listener.

Renee Armsted, if you must know, is an African American female.

Under Clinton's socialized system for medicine, she would have never become my PCP.

What a terrible disappointment . this would have been for me. For most of us, it takes a long time to find just that right doctor that you feel totally comfortable with, the kind of doctor you tell everything to, so they can treat the whole person and solve the whole medical issue.

About 15 months ago, I had a serious kidney stone attack and my blood pressure spiked out of control. When Dr. Armsted was writing out instructions for the ER staff to follow, because once i left her office, i was headed to the hospital. I asked her if i could get a note that i would be late for work, because I knew we couldn't make it back to the house, so i could change and get to work before 4pm.

Dr. Armsted just looked at me , shook her head in dis-belief, and wrote me a note for two days off, pending her allowing me to go back to work.

You see she was far more aware of how serious my condition was, than i could imagine. She also was aware of how stressful my job was and how much of a work-a-holic i could be.

Finally, to bring this point full circle i have to mention that race, gender or religious beliefs never came up with Dr. Armsted and myself. Just two Americans, one a highly skilled and talented doctor, the other ( me ) i slightly over weight mid 30's bachelor who had about a million to many fast-food combo meals in his life.Dr. Armsted stopped my consumption of fast-ffod in a big hurry, as in “stop eating dast food” and then she glared at me, and i said “right away, I promise” and I did what she told me to.

If we want to improve health care in this nation lets do it the only way possible, by looking in the mirror. Our own life styles and behaviors make up most of our health problems. I'm willing to admit that about myself.

Thank God I found the perfect doctor for me. One that not only oversaw my health care, but pointed me back to a path of decent health.

So, if 55 million of you write me in for President come November 2008, I can guarantee three things.

I will not support anything remotely close to government controlled health care, i will privatize medi-care so it actually works for everyone, and I will appoint Renee Armsted MD. To the post of Surgeon General. Look out America because Dr. Armsted frowns on fast food and she will make you walk five times a week. No excuses.
