Ctrl+B Games

When life gives you lemons, make great games.

Ctrl+B Games

Visitors Since July 1 2007

This is the Ctrl+B Games homepage. You can find any (almost any) project started, finished, published, or in any stage of development made by Kyle Messner here. For more information on what ctrl+B Games is about, check the history section. Trust me, it's not very long.

Team Morpig: Planning

29 May 2008

We're not dead, but in fact far from it!

For those perhaps confused by the update title, Team Morpig are the members of Ctrl+B Games directly involved in the development of our original project goal "Morpig."

As a team, we've decided it's in our best interests to embark on a different project to get our feet wet in the realm of online game design before delving into our main project, and that project is for now called "Platform RPG." We will be meeting as a team to discuss our ideas, plans, and goals for the game sometime next week hopefully. As soon as that is accomplished, hopefully we can get down to work and bring the forums back to life with updates.

On another note, whenever I remember to find time to do so, I'll upload some of my most recent projects (most of which include user-modifyable content!) onto the site.

Keep an eye out!

Long time, no see...err--- Update...

15 March 2008

So, I didn't really realize how long it's been since I've updated the site, yet again...

In the past few months I made several small projects with VB. I made yahtzee, Connect 4, Minesweeper, Stacker, and a few other simple yet entertaining games. I might upload these into the downloads section when I get the time.

Basically, just letting everyone know that Ctrl+B Games is far from dead. Hopefully everyone keeps checking in and reading the forums, spreading the word, you know. I recently started working with Visual C#, but I'm still not sure I'm a big fan of the .net framework. Regardless, maybe we'll see a project or two using some XNA.

Halo 3 WOOT

September 16 2007

With Halo 3 only days away, I decided to make a countdown timer. Although a rather useless program (also, only useful for about a week), it's most likely to bring laughs...

Anyway, you get to it the same way you do AutoClicker v2. Go to the downloads section, and click on the visual basic folder (the one with the miscelaneous programs). Then, click on the link titled "H3CDTimer distributable" and download. Don't forget to read the README!

Anyway, yet again another Morpig delay post. Unfortuneately, I got into yet another MMO, and got out of it. But, as you can tell, Halo 3 is coming out and I'll be sure to "finish the fight." I'll be trying to make time for Morpig learning in there somewhere...but we'll see how it turns out.

Keep an eye for more uploads and more updates!

Auto Clicker v2

17 August 2007

Updates, Updates, Updates

All I added to the site was a link to the "Visual Basic" uploads folder. This folder contains miscellaneous visual basic programs I've made. Right now, all that's in there is the second version of an Auto Clicking program I made with some basic (VERY easy to use) scripting elements. Right now all it does is: move the mouse, click and double click, and loop. Soon there will be many more features added.

As for MORPIG, development will start up soon after school starts (August 27th). So, get ready for more updates on that.

More Updates...

More updates...

10 July 2007

Thursday is when we're going to officially start working on MORPIG. So look for a lot more talk of that coming up. I've also been working on a little demo of DirectX 8 to familiarize myself with DirectX and to get some experience with it before moving on to MORPIG. Also, I wanted to show our artists what their textures and objects will look like in directX. To download the demo, visit the downloads section, and click the "DirectX Demo Folder" link to get to the page with the demo downloads.

Don't forget to check-out the forums!
