Bonjour ! Hello !
Thanks for the web site !
French, born in Tourcoing, I met my Rochdalian husband on one of the Exchanges ( a long time ago ! ) We live in Rochdale with our 2 daughters. Not too sure whether I'm a Friend of Tourcoing or an Amie de Rochdale !!!!
A big thank you to Derek and Beryl Nicholls, the best host family there ever was in the north-west of England ! Vive les Echanges ! Vive la diff?nce !

Hi Isabelle
I think we probably met on that same exchange visit a long time ago when you stayed with a friend of mine called Gail Nicholls. I stayed with Olivier Masquelin who I've sadly lost touch with. Do you happen to know if he's still involved with this group?
Regards
Mark

The exchange visit to Tourcoing 23rd-27th May was yet again an experience to remember. Each biannual visit comes with a guarantee of making new and lasting friendships and our hosts never fail to welcome us with open arms.
The Civic Reception for us, and Tourcoing's other Twin Town Bottrop, is an indication of the high regard given to Town Twinning by the Mayor M. Dellanoy and the Councillors of their Town Hall.
This year we had 7 new members on the visit and they were amazed by the warmth of the welcome and the hospitality given.
The programme arranged for us was, as always, action packed. We enjoyed the family get togethers and the group lunch and entertainment at Wally's in Flanders. Our day trip was to Agincourt Museum where the story was told in displays and opportunities to touch and feel the armour, the swords and the bows and arrows. After a group lunch, a short trip round a cheese factory was interesting albeit smelly. The next day our visit to the snail farm was fascinating and there were surprisingly few refusals to sample the cooked variety. The group pic nic on the last night was packed with fun and laughter.
Twinning is an exciting experience for the young an not so young. The exposure to language, culture and cuisine is unique.
If Twinning appeals to you please contact us via this guestbook. We will be pleased to see you at any of our meetings (indicated on the calendar). We will soon be organising the events for the return visit by out friends in 2010. Your ideas are welcomed.

What a fantastic website. Well done Chris. Can't believe you have got the photos on the site within 24 hours of our return. Also many congratulations on putting the snail pictures on despite absolutely hating them.
