The Friends of Tourcoing, are a friendly, social, family oriented group who have been twinned with the town of Tourcoing in Northern France for over 40 years. We are based in Rochdale, Lancashire, England. Tourcoing has a similair group called Les Amis de Rochdale.
Our aim is to foster good relations with our friends in France and to sample French life and culture, however this is NOT a 'culture vulture' group. Our exchange visits are all about having a good time and sharing experiences.
We are looking for new members. Families, couples or single people are all welcome.
Our trips to France usually cost about £80-90 with all trips, food and accommodation paid for and last about five days. There is no obligation to accommodate a French family on their visit to England, but, this twinning thing is a little infectious and you may want to. Not all of our members speak French so don't worry about the language.
