Introducing Bear Lee Spooky!!!

Please forgive the pun, but that's the name that stuck in my head when creating this piece. Then the bear turned out to be a she-bear instead of a he-bear--anyways! Meet the fribbles Hallowe'en creation for 2007, Bitty Batsy and her haunted house!

This FaeryBeary batling bear is made from a fuzzy soft long-pile upholstery fabric, in the deepest shade of black. Her pawpads are a silky cashmere in a steely grey, perfect for a wee bat ted. She has wired arms and magnetic paws, for increased posability. Her feet are weighted, so that she is free-standing, and feature four pulled toes.
size ratio in proportion to hand and house
Bitty Batsy has a silk embroidered nose, and black German glass eyes with a bit of white rimming. Her face is needlesculpted and also delicately trimmed for extra character.

She has a teensy countrified orange star atop her head. Her wings, as with all of my creations, are removable and easily reattached---magically! They are in a bright contrasting Hallowe'eny orange, and look especially spiffy next to her black fur.

The wings feature shining iridescence for shots of color, and are transparent. An additional purple pair of faerie
wings were requested by the bear mom to display Bitty
Batsy without her bat wings year round.

The haunted house is made from sturdy cardstock. The window trim is glittered, and all the jack-o-lanterns, black cats, and RIP grave markers are permanently attached. Boo, the friendly yet wispy ghost, hovers over the front stoop. Murdoch the spider hangs from the eaves, and there are two bats who've decided to emerge from the chimney. Not pictured are the witch's hat and a few other surprises.

The main colors of the house are purple, lime green, bright orange and black. Sometimes the lime green photographed as an off white, but I think that one can see it in the other photos fine. The camera had trouble capturing the shades and the detailing on the house, as well as the bear---black just doesn't photograph that well!
The haunted house measures approximately 5 inches wide by 7 inches high.

Bitty Batsy is 3" in height, and a tiny 2 1/2 inches sitting. Bitty's head is cotter-pin jointed, rotating from side to side. Limbs are string-jointed for posability.

Photographs have been greatly enlarged to show detail!
The Bear Lee Spooky Haunted House is an original creation, and thank you for taking the time to look at my creations, I am honored!
All fribbles are completely designed and handmade by myself. Fribbles prefer to go to collectors' homes because, due to small pieces, they are not suitable for small children. All fribbles come from a non-smoking, clean [at times disorganized] house with a dog, two cats, two beta fish, a husband and a baby, not necessarily in that order. =)
