..introducing Barnaby, a teensy fribbles bear!

Barnaby is a wee chap, fourth in the Biggles™ series!

I know spring is on its way, but here in Montana, I always miss the snow when it's gone---thinking back to that crisp bite in the air gets me in the mood for hot chocolate with lotsa marshmallows! And Barnaby is a big fan of snuggling up with a cuppa too!

It looks like he's going to have to share, though---Frost, a bitty winter faery, also loves hot chocolate and marshmallows! Luckily, there's more than enough to go around. =)

I had a lot of fun making this slightly anime bear. Barnaby is made of a vintage short pile deep gold fur. He has black onyx eyes, a painstakingly embroidered tiny nose, and is shaded to give him lots of character. His lil' face was needlesculpted for an enchanting expression. His head is cotter-pin jointed, rotates from side to side, and limbs are string-jointed for extra posability. He comes with a whimsical hat that is removable, and has stringed mittens round his neck, just like the 5 year olds who run outside to play in snowsuits.

Frost, the faery, is made of Puppen Fimo polymer clay, and has white maribou feather hair. The wings are constructed of shimmering iridescence, and are gently posable. Frost's head swivels so that the hot chocolate is always within view! Faery is handmade by me, and is complete with laugh lines, wrinkles, and blushing.

The cup of hot chocolate and saucer is handpainted, and decorated in a snowflake theme. A sprinkling of snow sits atop the rim, with snowflakes scattered here and there. The marshmallows [both in the cup and in the saucer] are needlefelted. The marshmallow in the cup is not removable!! It has a tiny pin to hold Barnaby or Frost in place.

This fribble pair have been happily adopted to a wonderful collector's home in New Zealand. Others in the series are available by commission. I hope Barnaby and Frost make you smile! =)

All fribbles are completely designed and handmade by myself. Fribbles prefer to go to collectors' homes because, due to small pieces, they are not suitable for small children. All fribbles come from a non-smoking, clean [at times disorganized] house with a dog, two cats, two beta fish, a husband and a baby, not necessarily in that order. =)
