This is the first interview I have had for sometime with a newspaper. Derek and I had a good chat out on the patio. He was a very amiable sort with a good sense of humour.
This morning I had an interview by phone with Jayne Whiting. She sounded like a very pleasant sort and was easy to converse with. She is an editor for Capital Parent Magazine here in the nations capital.
The issue with the article will be out the end of August or early September and I will post it then.
TESTIMONIALS AND READINGS FOR 'BENNY THE BULLYBEASTIE

The Capital Parent Magazine offers young parents many interesting suggestions and pointers on raising their child. They have articles on education, nutrition, health , bullying in the schoolyard and stores which will provide parents with the basic necessities in clothing and footwear. I think this magazine is essential to all parents and is provided at no cost to the family. Make sure you pick up a copy and scan it to see if there are any tidbits of information that you might be looking for. I always do this because, even though I don't have children at home anymore I do have grandchildren. I often pick up a copy and send it to them if I find something of interest that we have had concerns about.
The font here is not easy to read but I found I had trouble making adjustments.

Matthew is now in grade eight and is doing well in all areas. He is well adjusted socially having many friends of both sexes. He seems to be always in demand as a companion. I was very impressed this summer when he phoned to tell me that he , his Mom and Gord, her companion, were going up to Grandview, a resort in the Muskoka area, for a mini vacation. His Mom said "Matthew you can invite one friend to come with you. Who will it be?" Matthew said, "I want to take Grandma with me." I was very sorry that I had to let him down because I was going to Pensacola that week. How often do you get an invitation like that from your thirteen year old grandson. You can be sure if it happens again I will not refuse the offer.
