Le Vieux Moulin is a 250 year-old mill, built from the local Tuffeau stone and ancient oak beams on the wall of what was once a fortified village. Built alongsode the river Lathan, it commands excellent views of the surrounding countryside. The river runs west to a beautiful lake created a few years ago to provide irrigation water for the vineyards along the river Loire. The lake is well used as a leisure facility with swimming, wind surfing, dinghy sailing, large grassy areas for picnics and ball games. There is a steam railway that runs at weekends in the holidays. Saumur, Tours and Le Mans are all within easy reach and there are local services in the next village - Savigne.
The house is our family home and is furnished and equipped accordingly. Apart from providing your own bed linen, towels, food and drink, you will find the house has everything else you will need for a really comfortable holiday.
