Hello, this will lern you how to how to make a cool avatar/picture effect with adobe photoshop. MAKE SHURE YOU READ ALL! (sponsored by www.linerider.tt.at)
Ok, to start open a new blank dockument with, and paste the picture you want to convert (mine is 310 x 344 pixels) Remember: it must be in a one color background. Now select Magic Wand tool and cut out the background... then make a new layer Now, use gradiant tool in the colors you want (i used red to black). drag form the top over about 75% of the picture. Now it shold look something like this: (make shure the gradiant layer is under the main layer.
Now copy a bit of the end of the slead, Edit -> Transform -> Rotate 180 degrees. Edit -> Transform -> flip horizontal. Opacity 20% Now it shold look like this
Go to the bottom layer and rightclick on to. On the pull down menu select Blending options -> pattarn overlay. Selevt the pattarn on the picture:
If it doesnt look like this, send a main to dbbokforlag@hotmail.com. If it does lets continue...
Now use Text tool. Type the text you want and just fiddle a bit with outer glow (rightclick on the text layer, blending options)
