Welcome to Ivanhoe Lodge!

Ivanhoe Lodge No. 142 began in 1925 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Founded by downtown businessmen we meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month, except for July and August.  For over 80 years, the lodge has been a pillar of Freemasonry in the Edmonton area with members from a wide variety of ages, backgrounds, and experiences, who come together for fellowship and enlightenment.

For 2006, the year promises to be one of fun, with an exciting Masonic educational program, stacked social calendar, and the Lodge's reputation for performing high quality ritual. The organizational theme is "The Three Pillars of Success" based on Wisdom, Strength, and Beauty.  Wisdom in enlightening education; Strength in quality ritual; and Beauty in fellowship and fun at our events and festive boards.

"Establish Happiness In The Paths Of Science"
Our educational theme is based on the last line of the Working Tools in the 1st Degree where we will look at the various discoveries in science, from geometry and architecture on earth to the cosmology and astronomy of the universe.  More especially we will look at how these topics relate to our Masonic ritual and symbolism and see how applies to how we view ourselves.  Masonry being a science unto itself, covers a range of aspects in the world, and charges "to consider yourself called upon to make a daily advancement in Masonic knowledge."

Annual Installation, Investiture & Banquet
Thursday December 15, 2005
- An amazing evening, filled with fellowship, fun, and frivolity.  The Installing team was perfect and the banquet top notch.  With about 85 brethren in attendance, the new officers are charged to have such great support.
