FREEDOM Driving School

The Crunch Time: The Key is Condifdence and Ability...

PRACTICAL TEST

Roll Out The Drums...

You have had your sufficient FREEDOM DRIVING LESSONS
You will have had passed your theory test ( hey! by the way congratulations )
You will be a confident driver.

In your mind you are ready to go for the test.

You have instructed your FREEDOM DRIVING Instructor who agrees  ( hey! thats great news )

You have done your pre test dummy runs ( Did you do good! good stuff )

You are pre test prepared.

Very important that you remain confident in your self ( We are thats why we booked you on the test... we know you can do it )
Never mind the peer pressure that is a foolish reason to fail your test, it is about you and you can do it.
Never mind forgetting what to do on the day, you have been doing it week on week out why should it be any different on the day.
Practice at home, yep just use a paper plate, practice MSM, get into the rythmn.

Book an hour lesson prior to the test; get warmed up as we say...
Treat the hour lesson as the actual test before making the plunge.

Don't be afraid of the examiner... just another driivng instructor observing your skills ( hey! your a good driver )

Be confident, polite and ask a question if you did not uderstand the examiner's request.
Be alert and do not panic.

Good Luck....

THE PARTICULARS...

Before you do any driving you will have to perform an eyesight check and then be questioned on vehicle safety. The examiner will ask you to when it is safe to do so please start your engine and drve out of the car park - your driving ability will be tested, this will include reversing exercises.

The driving exam will last 40 hours during the test the examiner will be looking for evidence you've reached an overall safe standard of driving you will aslo carry out both general ( turning into the road, changing lanes ) and specific manoeuvres ( reverse parking, 3 point turn ). You are allowed to make up to 15 minor driving faults and still pass the test however 16 or more minor faults results in a fail.
However, if you commit just one serious or dangerous fault, you'll fail the test automatically.

What are you required to bring to the test..

The following items will be required, If you don't, the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) may refuse to carry out the test and you can end up losing your fee.

An appropriately insured and licensed vehicle, displaying L- Plates, that's suitable for the test
The appropriate theory test pass certificate.
The appointment letter confirming your test time and date.
Both parts of your photo card licence. If you don't take both parts of your licence, your test will not take place and you'll lose your fee.
If you have an old-style paper licence, you must take your signed driving licence and separate approved photo identification with you

I hope at the end of the 40 minutes you will be as happy as we are for you.  If you pass don't forget to recommend us to your friends!!

If you do not pass, do not worry it is not the end of the world, many peple pass their test on their 2nd, 3rd or more occasion.  It does not reflect on your ability as we are the judge of that.  If you got this far you will be a capable driver and nerves got the better of you, or you may have lost concentration or misheard the driving examiner.  Keep trying and be patient you will get there - we can guarnatee you on this.
